The problem's that people are experiencing with this plug-in are likely due to the significant amount of "stat bonuses" attributed to the armor.
For anyone having issues with the mod causing instability in their game, consider downloading "abbreviated effects" in order to circumvent this issue, as it effectively prevents any mod's that add equipment with large lists of stat enhancements, such as this one, from crashing the game.
2 Things. 1: For anybody wondering where the helmet is, it's located in Ashur's palace, in his bedroom. When you get to his office, enter, take a left and proceed down that hallway. Voila, that's his room. Look for a wardrobe named 'Ashur's wardrobe' against the wall. The helmet is in there. 2: Unfortunately for me, Whenever I kill Ashur to collect his armor, it seems to visibly disappear off of his physical body (not his inventory). When I open his inventory, the game crashes. Additionally, When I reload a game after killing him, he walks around as a floating head with gloves. While quite amusing, it's not what I downloaded this mod for. It's a shame, really. I love the detail and general appearance this set has. Miles better than what Bethesda put together.

The helmet never appear in the game, and when I pass the cursor over the armor in any inventory the game crashes.
Still a really good looking redesign.
