I use the New Vegas counter-part of this mod and the lowered weight made a lot of sense there. It's no different with the FO3 version. Thanks for all your work.

This is great, and its original weight was just for balancing, so it wasn't supposed to make sense.

7 pound for that little item is a bit unnecessary. It make more sense that it will weight less.
