...and bless those who combine all of their shots into one post
Fallout 3 is such a marvelous visual cornucopia of locations and landscapes that it's easy to find things to photograph. Got to keep on exploring that Capital Wasteland, as I'm certain there are lots of places I haven't found yet.
And yeah, agreed!
Not sure how Beth managed it, but they made the critters look worse in every game after FO3. I'm not sure what the hell they even did to the poor ferals in FO4, but it was a crime.
You mentioned that you were/are a musician. Just curious: what type of music and which instrument, if you don't mind telling.
That "darker aura" is probably a big reason why I've preferred FO3 over other installments. I found FNV's goofiness and weirdness jarring at times (had great trouble finishing Honest Hearts and Old World Blues), and FO4's cute pastel colors made my eyes bleed (give me all rust texture mods!!). FO3 feels to me more like post-apocalypse from start to finish, and it has an incredibly strong identity that Bethesda lost by the time FO4 rolled out. I cannot for the life of me to figure out why they abandoned majority of Adam Adamovicz's iconic design work, and adopted a more generic look.
I've been a musician, photographer, and a bunch of other things. A jack of all trades, and truly a master of none. As a musician, my main instrument was electric bass, which I studied in a music college after finishing my stint in the army. At gigs, I played just about any genre that got me a pay check, but my own bands were usually less commercial efforts. Among them was a Hammond organ quartet that was a curious mixture of instrumental acid jazz and prog rock, and a post-rock band with a penchant for twin guitars and trippy sonic landscapes. Nowadays, I don't play music anymore, and only take photos in digital worlds. Always had trouble figuring out where my place in the universe was.
I had no idea I would see another Fallout 3 shots today.
Thank you so much, thank you.
Your work has a strange charm.
I can tell that you are actually quite good at cinematic directing.(maybe including music selection)
Every sequence is natural and the story is well told.
It is really hard for me to do.
Anyway, these are a masterpiece that makes me feel your agony from yesterday, when you said you didn't want to touch it again.
Okay. Now, let's go to the future Night City.
And now, buy V a pretty outfit and a nice car.
Don't you have to give her time to love and enjoy it?π
You've done a awesome job and thanks again, my friendπβπβπ
I figured that I should post these last Fallout 3 photos because otherwise I'd be thinking about them all the time. Fortunately, there's no danger for me to get stuck in the world of FO3 because it's not possible to do stories there, at least not the way I like to do them as there are no proper photography/posing tools.
I've also been playing FO3 for fun the last couple of days. Damn, Capital Wasteland is far more deadlier than I remembered! I'm constantly looking over my shoulder, just in case a super mutant overlord or an albino radscorpion is coming after me. Makes me miss Night City! My V is so chromed up that she'd probably annihilate super mutants with her bare hands.
So, I guess this means that I'll be sending my next postcards from Night City. Oh, and I've got to remember to get her that new sports outfit that just came to the Atelier π
