So, let's face it. Fallout 2 is unbalanced to start. That's not a bad thing, 1 is unbalanced, but the player who doesn't want to dump points into Melee or Unarmed, or join the Slaver's Guild for easy XP, 2 is a bad time right off the bat. That being said, I'm not a fan of cheat chests, but frankly, I know that having one sugarcoats the hardcore experience of F2 for most first time players.
So... why my mod and not the thousands like it?
Well, you got me. The most I can say is that others either seem to write scripts to make the classes too custom (i.e. stuck with tagged skill weapons) or overpowered. My mod just adds an Energy Weapon, a Small Guns weapon, an Unarmed weapon, basic armor, and some stims to start off. PM me on NMA and I'll add different versions for those who ask.
