I am pretty sure there is one instance where Briar Rose's voice actor was different. There is also the Fisherman, who I haven't tested to see if it effects him but I am assuming it doesn't.
Honestly, I never understood why Lionhead changed it in the first place. I mean yeah, it's obvious they wanted to give Jack a more... otherworldly... vibe I guess? But really, lowering the pitch of his voice? The oldest villain theme in the book?
The vanilla one always fit his regular form much better imo. More roguish and calculating sounding. And the deeper sounding voice still fits the dragon form quite nicely, so it's a win-win.
I could not agree more! I can see why they wanted to make him sound to reflect what kind of being it is. But I much prefer Jack's original voice, considering he looks a lot like a Scarecrow. Worked very well with the humour of Fable, in my opinion. It also made it a lot less obvious that he was the bad guy.
"oh wow, the guy with the demonic sounding voice is the bad guy? who woulda thunk it!"
Jack is brought back for the new content in The Lost Chronicles, requiring new voice work. Maybe they couldn't get the original voice actor to reprise his role and decided to re-record those lines with the new VA for continuity sake.
It's a shame that the file structure is different in certain regards for Anniversary. It makes transitioning to that one so much more complicated for me.
Unfortunately it will not be, due to potential conflicts with changes that I have already made. Sorry about that and thanks for supporting my other mod :)
You can export the files from ShadowNet with a specific "sound version" of the program. But you can't import the individual audio files. This is why I opted for replacing the .LUT files with the ones from the Xbox Version. It's currently the only possible way.

So 'scriptdialogue2.lut' is shorter than it should be ?
IE 156 MB (164,036,608 bytes) extracted
166 MB (174,964,500 bytes) installed ???
Can I use this as a replacement ?
Or wait till it bombs out ?
Jack of Blades is back!
:D
