Can't get this program to play nice with the game. For example, my interact button also opens the menu. Running also locks on. Etc. These secondary functions are assigned to different keys, and work with those keys, but also continue to fire when I select these other keys. Even when I change the assigned keys in the game itself, and then alter the keys in JoyToKey to match the new keys, I still get all of these crossed wires. I didn't use the config file here, because I don't like how different it is from a controller setup, so this is not a criticism of the author, just the JoyToKey program.
I got it working, but it feels terrible with my 360 controller. Character continues moving forward too long, and the camera will also drift if not done right. Nothing feels quite right
Sweet, so, to fix this, go into JTK, select settings (in top bar), select configure joysticks, and find a section that looks like this:
Once you've found this section, I recommend setting this higher. I personally have it somewhere between 20-25% as I was getting the exact same issue as you.
For some reason, JoytoKey isn't reading the config files. I add the config file into the same folder as Profile 1.cfg, but nothing happens. I've recorded a video with OBS if needed.
We can use controller to play this game on PC. dowload a program that help to get you computer to read your controller first. "Xinputplus" or "reWASP" Im using reWASP to read my xbox series x controller i dont need more programs Just edit it it will works. Use that config if it works for you, I'm not gonna edit another config for this, other than the config we currently have. Plus, never used ReWASP, nor do I want to.
Hmm... Any chance you can do a video showing me? You can record your screen using OBS. No need to speak, I can see what you're doing. Then just upload it (maybe to youtube) and send it to me. I wanna see what you did when installing.

JoytoKey will not work when installed to the default(program files) directory! Just install it anywhere else, or use the zip version.
