First of all, thanks for the preset, the game looks pretty bad on its own.
An easier way of installing the mod when using the latest ReShade version (6.41 currently) is selecting the preset file (that you download here named "Fable Anniversary - Natural Color Reshade (only config file)") during the initial ReShade setup, that way you can see that qUINTsharp.fx (under qUINT by Marty McFly) is also required.
Technicolor.fx isn't configured in the reshade preset to load and the game doesn't look good with it anyway (in this configuration) so you don't need to install it.
Can I get some help with this? Once I select DirectX 9, I don't see a single effect pack that you listed to install (Technicolor, Technicolor2, Tonemap and Vibrance) in the list of effect packs that I can choose from. Maybe you skipped a step?
Okay, so the uploader is not very clear on the instructions with the understanding that you either know it or his knowledge of how ReShade is downloaded in its current iteration is woefully outdated.
Technicolor, Technicolor2, Tonemap, and Vibrance belongs to the "Legacy standard effects (only select this when using old presets)" and "SweetFX by CeeJay.dk". The latter of the 2 has be automatically been ticked. I have no idea which version he is talking about, but I'm assuming that he means the more updated SweetFX since his preset is hella recent. In case, you can download both.
After you continue with whatever you checkmarked, it'll give the list of all the .fx or shaders associated with the pack. Uncheck all but Technicolor, Technicolor2, Tonemap, and Vibrance, and then you're done.
Over two years later and replaying Fable Anni. THX for the clear instructions. Was wondering, if I got "old and rusty". But it was just "hit the button", one never "just" hits a button, especially the red one ;)
Okay so I was having the same issue. Instead of installing the whole congif file just install reshade on your own, manually modify thge config ini files following the instructions on the description and drop the single preset on your game folder.
unfortunately it fucked up the whole system of the game and of the vortex it cant be uninstalled and the gave dosnt even start..i forced to uninstall both the game and the vortex and install them from the begining ..the mod still apears as installed but fortunately it is not
The game would no longer launch after installing. Do you need to download "Modding DLC" for this to work?
I don't know if the other comments were posted before you wrote the simple installation instructions or not, but the way it sounds is that you do not need to do or install anything except for your mod. The instructions make it sound as though ReShade is included and preconfigured, and that the official mod support DLC is not required. Is this true?
My game worked totally fine, but after installing this mod it would no longer launch. I thought maybe I needed to install the modding DLC but even that didn't fix it. I'm now completely reinstalling both.

I like the effort, but for me personally the look is too crisp and it takes away the "dreamy" feel of the game, no offense. Would you please add a note on how to deinstall the modd? Thanks :)
