Please keep in mind that this mod was designed for official copies of the game. It may or may not work with pirated copies (especially changes to the game.bin file). If you have a pirated copy and are having issues with the mod, don't bother commenting here since I won't be able to help you. Also remember that piracy is against the rules of the Nexus and you will be banned if you admit to it.
To anyone who had problems with the "No Aging" files not working correctly, they should be working fine now. Let me know here if you still have this problem (or any other).
If this mod doesn't do exactly what you needed and you want to try modding the game yourself, check out the Modding the Game Yourself section at the end of this mod's description for links to the tool used and some tutorials.
Hey! I wanted to know if it was at all possible to turn off all strength gain? I want to keep the starting body of the hero throughout an entire playthrough of mine where he's just a scrawny little man.
Through your files he already doesn't gain any height, but I also noticed that he still gets a bit wider and gains some muscle mass upon the first increase of health or physique. I would like to leave that out and maintain that skinny form if at all possible?
Hi there. To be clear, you've installed both the file that disables height AND the file that disables strength, right? If you've already installed both and are not satisfied, here's something you can do:
In the Bones folder there are many .bncfg files which represent different modifications that are applied to the character's body shape. Hero_strong.bncfg governs muscles,hero_tall.bncfg governs height, and hero_fat.bncfg governs fat.
Now, I remember there being a file in that folder that was called something like "hero_weak.bncfg" or "hero_thin.bncfg" or "hero_young.bncfg" or "hero_start.bncfg" or something like that (I don't remember exactly). This file contains the values for the starting body – the one you want.
Once you find that file, you can create a copy of it and rename it to "hero_strong.bncfg" in order to have it replace the original hero_strong file. You might also have to do that to the hero_tall file to get perfect results, but maybe not. Remember to make backups of the strong and tall files before deleting them.
The end result of this should be your character retaining his starting proportions throughout the whole game.
Hey there. I didn't cover every single possible combination of options since it would be too many, and they each have to be created manually. This mod offers only the few dozen versions of the game.bin file I figured people would use most commonly.
I know you probably dont play or mod Fable anymore, but I figured I could still try asking a question. Im trying to make the character only blonde regardless of alignment but whatever attempt it dosent work :(
Do you have any tips of getting it to work if that even possible?
As mentioned in this mod's description, you can learn how to make those adjustments by watching some of these youtube videos. I believe there's also a comment further below here (made by someone else) listing what files need to be changed to accomplish what effects. Consider checking that out too.
And of course, there are plenty of resources online detailing how to use Fable Anniversary. It's an old tool.
Fable Explorer is not used to make changes to you character's body shape. FE is only used here to make changes to the game.bin file, which governs age/scars/alignment/will lines.
The files that control your character's body shape (the three files ending with .bncfg) were simply altered by hand. You can open them with Notepad or any other simple text editor and alter the configurations manually. I don't know if there are tutorials for this on the internet though, I just learned by trial and error...
It's also interesting to note that the .bncfg files are more likely to work on pirated copies of the game than the game.bin file. Hypothetically speaking.
Anyways, I'll update the mod description to clarify this point about Fable Explorer. Thanks for bringing this up.
idk about Psy but I have an unusual copy since I can't afford to buy it :( I've had tons of mods work with those types games so that shouldn't affect it right?
I think disabling age also disables body hair, probably (haven't played in a while). The age textures and body hair textures are either linked or are the same, from what I remember.
Pretty sure body hair has always been tied to the strength stat, I have 5 in strength and health and my character is 18 (I'm using wemods to remain 18)... and he has this gross ass blonde body hair that obscures his tatts and will lines.
*Edit* Installed he mod and installed the no aging file... still got gross body hair lol
If you look at some of the pictures on this mod, you can see max strength characters with no body hair. So it seems that one of the options removes body hair. I'm not sure which one it is though. Maybe disabling scars? You can try some different options if you want to see if any do the trick.
*Edit* Found out what is causing it... Being good causes body hair for some silly reason...*Edit*
Did you reload when maxing the strength for that pic? Body hair seems to only appear AFTER you reload, I wen't back to my earlier save and tested it... Yeah, I'll try the other options, not wanting a max strength look as I hate the size it makes you... but I don't want to look like a beanpole either xD lol
How do you create the mods for anniversary? Do you use fable explorer? Because I found this on a forum... And from the last part it seems you can disable bodyhair... but that was for Fable: TLC =/

Yes, I used Fable explorer. At the bottom of this mod's description you can find a link to the version I used as well as a link to a youtube channel that has great tutorials for using Fable Explorer to make changes to Fable Anniversary. I hope that helps.
