** If you need to Edit the Brightness up or down a little bit.
Open the game then press home on keyboard it will open the reshade menu. Click on HDR that is checked and below it will say edit global preprocessor definitions. The power value is 1.755 by default just drag the slider a tad over to the left to brighten it. Make sure you didn't accidentally uncheck the hdr preset too btw.
Idk what i'm doing wrong but it just does not work. I have downloaded the ReShade 6.1.1 and found Enshrouded, selected Vulkan and on select effects i pressed browse and clicked the jrmfakehdr.ini file that is located in my game install directory (via Steam). I press finish and load the game and there is no visual change what so ever. When i press HOME key nothing happens. Any ideas ?
Its nice at day, but sadly very dark at night, and too much red color now..... (check screenshot). also effectiveness of torch is very low now, it gives not alot of light... https://ibb.co/Cnzf2rH
also, when u are in dark place (for example house) outside is VERY bright. When u are walking outside it will flashbang u. For exampel this is NORMAL window to outside at day. https://ibb.co/SdQgPLP
Yeah none of the Reshades are perfect at everything, but you can try other different reshades to test out.
You can also go into your gpu control panel and adjust brightness and so on, but nothing is 100%, it needs to be done within the game files itself. This game is not mod friendly.
Unfortunately, like most ReShade presets, it kills details with total blackness and white/brown human color becomes red (way too much saturation). I understand that, just with FakeHDR, you can really adjust that. So, I use my own not exaggerated MartysMods_SHARPEN. Levels, Curves and Vibrance combo and it looks brilliant. Blue is blue, green is green, white is white and so on. No gray fog overbrightness like in many games these days, as if the developer fear, that it could be too dark on the end user and they make it too bright and milky. The sharpen shader enhances the picture greatly, it's like 4K on 1440p and you notice how blurry the game really is (on best AA in this game, DLAA, not FXAA or crappy DLSS). I also use a DLL loader, so the ReShade64.dll can be inside the game install directory for Vulkan etc., otherwise it's in the ProgamData/ReShade folder. crosire claims, that this is not possible (Vulkan DLL in game folder), but it is possible for sure, any DLL loader can do this, just not ReShade on its own. xD
It's the game that it's faulty. Tons of ppl have this problem that 120 fps+ feels like 30. Devs say they are working on it, let's hope for a patch soon
The game is currently locked at 60Hz while they work on the issue. I bumped my monitor refresh down to 60 and locked FPS to 60 in Nvidia control panel and enabled Vsync. Although not ideal, that seemed to help on my system.

command line argument "--keep-vulkan-layers" make it work. (remove quotes)

installed reshade and still getting like 120 fps BUT its extremely choppy. Like its not even 20 fps.
The Reshade isn't causing any problems at all.
