Hello, for those who wants to keep theyr world while having this one also (and any other world that people may share) since world save's name are always the same. so Everyone have "3ad85aea" as first world.
1- Create a new world and launch it, then quit the game (if you don't enter the world you won't have "savenumber_info" in your saves folder)
2-Go to your saves folder, should be ...\"your steam folder"\userdata\"your user ID"\1203620\remote could also be C:/user/"YourUsername"/saves games/enshrouded for some user (1203620 is the ID of the game) if you have multiple UserID in userdata, just shearch the one with the folder 1203620 inside.
There you should see your saves
3-rename the name of the save provided by the author by the name of your new save (if it's your second world, should be "3bd85c7d") So rename the files as "3bd85c7d" and "3bd85c7d_info" or whatever number your new world is
4- Take the newly renamed files from the author and place them in your saves folder and replace.
I was having the same issue everyone, following all the steps etc. - however it worked for me in C:>user>Saved Games>Enshrouded.
If you accidentally deleted your original save files, and you were previously playing with cloud saves - find them there. https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage
I was at least able to access the world, though there were problems.
Some chests were empty
Stack sizes immediately reduced to vanilla stack max once interacted with in any capacity - Splitting the stack creates two stacks of vanilla max stack cap
Things that cannot stack... don't
I made a new character (because I don't want the one in the download) and loaded up her inventory. My question now is: How do I get her (and her inventory) to my previously extant world?
Honestly, I'd rather just learn how to edit the save files, but this will be the next best thing.
I downloaded this solely to get granite since its such a grind to get. but clearly this was made before granite was in the game. anyone know where to get a save file thats up to date with granite?
Tried this, backed everything up beforehand. Didn't work. Instead, the game "Preprocessed" for 3 minutes. Tried to copy my backups back into the folder. Preprocessed and reset again. Thanks a lot, man. 124 hours deleted and it didn't even work. All for nothing. Next time specify on the home page the download method is OUTDATED.
Does anyone have a way to fix this? I still have my old Steam backup too, but the game keeps rejecting it and preprocessing over it, thus making it useless.

When I start the game, it asks to create a new character, instead of your saved character being there.
I've followed the installation guide to the letter.
Any help would be great...
