I am attempting to make something similar, except it's the divine blessing and magic resist spells I'm trying to alter. With EnderalSEEdit, I took the spell effects, copied them with override to a new esp, and changed the durations of the spells in there. This new ESP is enabled in the launcher, but when I boot up the game everything has the default durations still. Strangely, the few cases I altered the magnitudes like increasing T1 divine blessing to 25hp is actually working, but the durations refuse to be overriden.
In this mod, you seem to have copied the base magelight spells and created new effects? I can't tell where the edit is, how do you make a spell have a different effect?
Thank you so much for this awesome mod! I spotted a small annoying thing though: every time we load a save, the light has gone, despite the fact the spell is active. So we have to cast again the spell twice: once to turn it off, then again to turn it on. Do you know if there is a fix to activate it again when we load a game, if the spell was active at the time of saving? Thank you!
Edit: If someone encounters the same issue, I found a fix. Just switch to third person view, then to first person view again, and the light will be properly activated without having to recast the spell. Seems to be a light placement bug, nothing serious.
Thank you so much! All of your mods are fantastic, but this one is my absolute favorite. You've saved me from having many headaches caused by straining my eyes to see in these dark ass dungeons lmao.
Been using this for awhile and it's very convenient. But I'm wondering if you knew a way to perhaps move the Magelight back a bit or something of the sort? It's nice to be able to see certain things, but having a massive orb in the top of the screen defeats a bit of the purpose of having sight. I know this is an issue with the spell itself, but wondering if you knew a way I could do that easily within the files or what have you?
Thanks again for this mod. The toggle light is beauty.
Absolutely. The "Unobtrusive Candlelight Fix" - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/39386 does exactly what you need, it moves the orb slightly behind the player so that it's not visible in first-person view. The mod is just a mesh replacer and works for Skyrim and Enderal alike.

Damn, I forgot how light spells in vanilla skyrim &co are definitively bad lol
