I like the realism and unpredictability this adds. That being said, Auroras seem far too common. Sort of takes the special status away when you seem almost more likely to see them than the regular night sky.
Thanks! It would be great to reduce their likelihood the further south you go on the map. I really enjoy the frequent morning fogs by the way - thanks for the mod!
In fact, could I manually decrease their factor with XEdit? I do like the mod but they make nights even brighter than they are already. Edit: Simply lowering the chance for them to occur in XEdit does indeed seem to work just fine. While I was at it, I also increased the chance for light rain and overcast a bit for the Heartland areas. I'd suggest considering that too if you ever update the mod. After all, depending on the speed of one's playthrough, most of Enderal is likely to take place over the course of autumn. And Ark is, after all, right in the shadow of a snowy mountain range, while the Farmers' Coast canonically is said to benefit from frequent precipitation.
Hi there ! I am trying to use darker night mods, but with mixed results lol But I don’t know what’s the cause. If I remember correctly, in Skyrim, the night's luminosity was linked to climates mods, is it the case here too ? And, in any case, is there anything I can do about it ? To have darker nights, I mean.
Edit : I have part of answer, I tried darker nights mod without DW and it’s the same, darker night are as rare ; So I suppose it’s the way Enderal itself made its weathers/nights. Mods aren’t adaptable out of the box… =(
"If I remember correctly, in Skyrim, the night's luminosity was linked to climates mod" No it's done done by changing the weather. They all have their own day and night brightness.Enderal uses the same system as Skyrim. " I have part of answer, I tried darker nights mod without DW and it’s the same, darker night are as rare ; " The mod only affects the weathers found in vanilla Skyrim. It does not affect any new weathers added by Enderal or this mod.You would need to manually edit all of them and make them darker.Tried this myself had I had the same results as you.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why would you rename Frostcliff to the Northwind Mountains? That just feels unnecessary and a strange decision considering even the world map has that region labeled as Frostcliff Mountains.
The intro to the game is already through dark tunnels (Oblivion jail & sewers escape vibes), so the beauty (and painstaking efforts) of the game becomes quite evident when you finally exit the gloomy tunnels into a bright lush exotic valley that's quite unlike whatever Skyrim has shown us. It gave me the same wonderful "Wowza!" vibe I got when I first played Oblivion and Skyrim.

There are also tough enemies in the seemingly innocent peaceful valley, but there are armors and weapons scattered in nooks and dungeons nearby, so it makes sense that player visits the valley in daytime so as to be able to scout for and equip these essential items, for the dangers that lie ahead. Even in daytime (or with sufficient light in a dungeon), I missed few items when they lay hidden beneath the lush foliage. Throwing a newbie player without adequate gear in a dusk-quickly-turning-to-pitch-night ill-lit strange environment, against lurking deadly dangerous enemies, will likely make the player think the Enderal devs were trying too hard to mimic the Souls games, without a decent storyline or level scaling.
There is no way to do it properly. It shouldn't cause any big issues but I can't be sure. Although I'd be interested in why you want to do that since this mod really just expands on the vanilla weather system.
Good mod, thank you. For me the snow looks like a bunch of squares falling down though. It looks different then in your screenshot. I just get thousands of simple white squares obstructing my vision. How can I fix this?
EDIT: I made a little mistake, Forgot to install True Storms (Skyrim main version) I only installed True Storms (Enderal SE version) without the main file.
Here is how to install it properly: Diverse weather ( main file, https://www.nexusmods.com/enderalspecialedition/mods/70 True Storms (Skyrim mod main file: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2472 ) Enderal SE True Storms ( Enderal version, pick the diverse weather file) https://www.nexusmods.com/enderalspecialedition/mods/203?tab=description )
I came across a bug where snow only fell around me in a very small portion of the screen, uninstalling this fixed it. unsure what could cause this but let me know what info u might need if any if u want to look into it :)
This doesn't sound like a bug. It probably just was the new light snow weather. I'll take a look at it but I'm pretty sure that this is not really an issue.
I found out the snowy Cycle around the Character is from the Mod R.S.S.A. . I unchecked the "Snow" option in the MCM. The Option says "Toggles Snow&Snowflakes Particles on Character during Snow". Well there is now Snow, i played around 30 Hours now, and there was never snowy Weather at all. Thunder / Rain / Fog i can confirm this Weather, but no Snow :/ . The only Snow was from the RSSA Option.
Load Order for Weather Mods are : Diverse Weather.esp Diverse Weather (German).esp True Storms SE.esp Diverse Weather SE - True Storms.esp Diverse Weather SE - True Storms (German).esp Stormlightning.esp
I have no other Mods that are alter the Weather.
\\Edit : Is there no chance of snowy weather in Ark, Coast- and Woodareas? And RSSA detects the weather wrong? Should RSSA load after the Weather mods? Does it even make a different?
Ah, so my question in my edited post was allready answered! Rssa detect it wrong. Makes it a difference when i load RSAA after your weather mod? Cause this snowy effect when the weather is normal, is a strange.
I can't think of a reason why any mod wouldn't be able to properly detect which weather it is but since I never used it I don't know where it should go in your load order. My guess would be that it doesn't matter.
If you use True Storms then follow the instructions on the main page of Enderal SE - True Storms. Otherwise, it should mostly be fine. If you're unsure either use xEdit to check it yourself or join the discord and post your load order.

Chimin in, why is there daytime in the beginning valley? Evening/Night makes much more sense as it suits the storyline.

Snow fell only! in a small circle around the character model in third person.
No snow in the environment, nothing from the sky :(
Is this really "light snow"?

Otherwise, the chance of snow is non-existent or very small.
The issue is unrelated to this mod.
