Sadly, this mod (and One Book to Read Them All) doesn't work anymore with latest versions of Enderal (mod version by Eddoursul).

The LE version? Did you try the LE version of my mods?

I haven't touched Enderal for a long time, so I might be out of touch right now.

      No,  SE version:
      https://mod.pub/enderal-se/38-enderal-se
I also didn't touch Enderal for a long time and wanted to recreate an old mod list of mine. Found out about it during test runs, Enderal showed me a message about scripts not longer used.

      - The core quest Levelsystem and its scripts, including _00E_QuestFunctions, have been refactored into separate, smaller components to ensure better Enderal moddability (do not confuse with mod compatibility). This is a major change, breaking compatibility with mods, referencing Levelsystem.

Oh, I see. If and when I do get back into Enderal, I might download that updated version. Weird how they publish updates there, and not the copy on steam.

The Steam copy is no longer supported. Eddoursul explains why in the FAQs.
Anyway, thanks for your mods. They were a real fun to play with.

Is there any way to have the books not cost learning/crafting points, but leaving the leveling system alone? I just want the books to be cost-free.

Then you'll want the 1 Memory Point per Level (Vanilla Attributes) version.

I guess, to clarify: Im using One Book To rule Them All, and I'd like to have those cost nothing like this mod achieves, without affecting the learning points and crafting points on level up- unless I'm misunderstanding, this mod still removes the crafting/learning points?

I'm not "removing," I am just hiding it in the UI.

And if you'll probably want 1 Memory Point per Level (Vanilla Attributes) from here and the subsequent LaCPA version in the other mod's FOMOD, if I understand you correctly. (Why is this so confusing?)

Im chalking it up to user error on my part, I was under the impression it removed learning points entirely!

      Thanks for clarification!

edit: Actually, playing with Leveling Redone makes one able to infinitely pump up skills. I can play with that by just not abusing and spending per level, but I was hoping for the leveling system itself to be unaltered.

By the leveling system, you mean the books? Leveling Redone says it removes it entirely.

You want to restore them? If so, you will need to check the mod in xEdit and revert the removal.

So, there's two files that conflict between LaCPA and OBtRTA - both parts of the 'questfunctions' script. Which mod's files should take precedence?

Override this mod with the LaCPA version of that mod.

Took me a hot minute to figure out what OBtRTA is lol.

    Works flawlessly!
I'm using this in conjunction with "The Path" mod-pack which alone has 520+ mods, some of which change balancing and yet not a single compatibility issue.
The "Dear Diary" optional patch is compatible with external skins as well (or at least compatible with Wood and Paper).
    Thank you for your work!

Hi can I ask why you deleted the LE versions of your useful mods? The SE version of Enderal is bug ridden and causes my new cpu to want to blow up so going back to the stable LE version and alot of mods I used are now deleted.

Edit. Not to worry, I backed up my Enderal mods 2 years ago luckily and still have the LE versions. Thank goodness I found them.

I could restore them, but at this point, maintaining two versions of the same mod (with two different forms) is a bit tricky.

I will restore them, but with a "no longer maintained" notice.

If you meant attributes, then yeah, sorry about that. I don't know how to script, so retroactively changing stats is not something I can do.

You can do it yourself though. Find the difference and use:

      player.modav health/stamina/magicka x
      or
      player.setav health/stamina/magicka current+x

Sorry to bother but what mod do you use for your interface design?

I don't play SE right now, but I used Dear Diary in the LE version.

Dear Diary - Paper UI Replacer for Enderal at Enderal Nexus - Mods and community
Look here my friend. The author is in the posts section explaining how to make it work. Very simple.

Brilliant. For people like me, that is. I prefer to keep it casual, enjoing a good story and good action but not have too many fine granular things, ingredients, components, recipes, prerequisites, values, points, stats, etc, basically anything that goes beyond looking at health/mana/stamina, gold, damage and armour. ;-) So thanks a lot for this qualitify-of-life mod.

... Do I have to say it here too?

      You're welcome.
