Version 2.0 Available! For version 2.0, WeathermanSweden has supplied me with two additional map variants, each available in 4K and 8K versions. The optional ESP has been modified to allow even more zooming. Please let me know if you have any issues.
Problems with ENB I've read several posts (not just here) where people were having difficulties with the maps being too bright. A simple workaround is to hit Shift+F12 when you're in the map. That will temporarily disable your ENB. Hit Shift+F12 again when you leave the map to re-enable your ENB.
According to the author, everyone needs to understand the style of "don't do that" ... and "that's not good." You don't write exactly what to do ... ROUTE ...? The description is many letters and very sloppy, messy style. What is missing is "user-centric thinking" in the style of a three-year-old child. The installer does almost nothing, showing only a piece of the image, neither a menu nor an option ... useless. Since you can't take a picture here ... it's in the pictures folder. So that's just the "sight" ... However, I admit that at least he is doing something and the map will appear in the game now. I would rather enjoy the original ... "but for nothing" it is also much more effective.
Hi, I like the map so far, but unfortunately it doesn't look so nice if ENB is enabled, especially when you zoom out. Would you mind to provide a fix for that?
That might take some time, because I have no idea how to do that, or what even the problem is, so it will take a bit of research. What exactly are you seeing that isn't so nice? Could you provide a screenshot?
The problem is the brightness. There are already some ENB fixes for Main Menu and Loading Screens because it also happens there. See here: https://www.nexusmods.com/enderalspecialedition/mods/147 https://www.nexusmods.com/enderalspecialedition/mods/148
I think what it basically does is creating new assets with lesser brightness.
Okay, so I looked at it, but I'm not sure it will be possible. The problem is the brightness is dependent on the amount of light at the location you're currently at and the time of day, so if I make the map darker to fit daytime, it will be too dark to see at night or in a dark dungeon. Please also see IxionXVII's comment who made the two ENB fixes for the load screens and the main menu and also said he couldn't do a fix for the map:
EDIT: But I do have a workaround for you. If the map is too bright, just hit Shift+F12. That will disable your ENB for the time you're looking at the map. When you leave the map, just hit Shift+F12 again to re-enable your ENB.
now when you press "M" ingame, the ENB turns off so the map is readable again. I saw that solution on a different forum so feel free to try out. Nothing complex but simple and usefull for me
Wow, that's a cool trick @Blackburn2014! I'll try it next time I start up Enderal. Does it turn ENB back on when you exit? But I'll find that out when I try it.
EDIT: Ah, okay, figured it out. But that means you ALWAYS have to press M to turn off ENB, and it turns on again when you hit M again. Not sure that's what I want, especially since I sometimes have to turn ENB off to make night vision work (the ENB night eye fix doesn't always work so well). So I'm afraid this won't work for me.
Not sure. If "Dear Diary" is only a UI mod and not a map mod, it should be compatible. Try putting this mod after the Dear Diary mod so the map overwrites any map Dear Diary might be using and see what happens.
This map is amazing, I love it. But I’ve run into a problem.
Previously, it worked flawlessly. I was forced to reinstall my mod set up and now the map icons are sitting far above the map. Also, whether I use the plugin or not, I can zoom. The Ark map doesn’t show either.
I am at a complete loss for what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I really don’t want to lose this map, but it’s unusable for me right now.
Edit: I use MO2 and no conflicts are showing. The plug-in is in the same place I always have it in my load order.
Really sorry, but I have no idea what might be wrong. I usually have quite a heavy load order, but I've never had any issues. I assume you have some kind of conflict, but without more information, I'm afraid it would be wild speculation.
When you say the Ark map doesn't show, what do you mean?
I also use MO2. Try xEdit (EnderalEdit) and see if you have a conflict in your ESPs.
I figured it out. It was xLODGEN’s LOD 32 meshes and textures. I’m such a chowderhead for not thinking about it. I have this issue with Skyrim and “A Quality World Map” too. But there the conflicts show to remind me. Oh well, thank you for responding and offering assistance.
I'm glad you were able to figure it out. Tracking down issues caused by mod incompatibilities can be quite difficult, because there's so many endless variations you have to consider.
As a matter of fact, I just had to spend several hours tracking down a bug I introduced in the new "Alva Follower" mod I'm working on. When I arrived in Morthal, the town suddenly had no Jarl, and Idgrod Sr. was just sitting around somewhere, eating and drinking, instead of holding audience on her throne. Consequence was I couldn't progress the vanilla "Laid to Rest" quest, which I had to change for my mod, so Alva is no longer a bad girl but a victim.
All the best, and take care!
EDIT: Here's an image of my new Alva, in case anyone's interested:
Glad you like it, and I agree. I like this much better, too. But even better would be the actual 3D model the way it is in Skyrim. Who knows, maybe I'll give that a shot at some point.

One small thing, It lacks the labels of regions for novices. Once I get more familiar with the game, I'm planning on using it.
Two different versions with better GFX labels in about the same places as the vanilla versions would help.
