I've done similar work on 2x the value mod, and it took me some time to understand that anything that touches elextpl entries makes other mods using similar entries invalid. Maybe there's some way around this but I haven't found any after a long time of tinkering. Instead, I've compiled patches for Elex Overhaul and Elex Overhaul Plus for my mod that work by merging all entries. So, here's my advice for you, I am afraid that if you want to make your mod compatible with those two, you'll need to merge/compile as well.
Thanks a lot for this mod, it really makes the game more fun. I'm playing with the 5x version right now and money is virtually a non-issue, 40k on level 10. I'll probably use the 2x version for any future playthroughs, though. Just something I noticed: it's possible to exploit merchant by buying cigarette packets and reselling the individual cigarettes for much more. Not much of an issue, I guess.
And for people who are wondering if the mod works with Elex Overhaul, I precautionally integrated this mod into EO (with the Elex Ressource Manager) and it works flawlessly so far.
Hey! Hi, finally installed again this game from my library. it was sitting there for ages. Second playthrough here so i decided to finally play with other mods that are not just graphic patches. Lavendarjosh have you tried 2x mod? Whats the difference between 5x and 2x since i cant really notice it at all. From what i see, in both versions junk goes for 5x higher price which, tbh, kinda breaks immersion for me. I was hoping that 2x is actually only 2x the price which would still be immersive, not leaving me scrapping the bottom of the barrel, but also not making me mini Zuckerberg by the level 10.

Must be using some type of special rar. Tells me it's a corrupted file, error with rar version. Might want to change to a zip or compatible with older rar programs.
And it seems this mod doesn't work when installed.

I haven't installed the mod but reading over the details I think the only difference between 5x, 2x, no change is for the Elexit pickups.
The rest of the changes (except maybe also Elexit bags) are likely the same 5x as listed.
