Balance in a single player game isn't really a problem except when it reduces the choices a player can make for viable play style.
This mod seeks to address balance problems when they are considered counter productive to freedom of play, each change is either to fix a bug
or allow more choice in play styles.

Elex has some serious problems with balance and choices.

This mod seeks to address balance problems when they are considered counter productive to freedom of play, each change is either to fix a bug
or allow more choices in char development, explanations will follow some changes to explain the reasoning behind them.

Elex Potions

Small Elex potion changed to give 350XP and +1hp.
Now a early game viable choice to gain some extra health and levels quickly.
You would have to consume 56 to give you just 1 extra level at level 40, which is average level most people can expect to reach or surpass by end game.
Consuming 100 will only give you 26% more health at level 40 compared to what you can currently have with level up, skill, and perm health potions.

Gemstones
Medium Gemstones only require 2 small instead of 4
Large Gemstones only require 3 medium instead of 4.
Blue Gemstone Health Bonus Changed to 5, 15, and 30 respectively for small, medium, and large.
White Gemstones Heath Bonus to companions changed to 5, 15, and 30 respectively for small, medium, and large.
Green Gemstones experience bonus changed to 3, 10, and 20 respectively for small, medium, and large.

Gemstones were too few and far between to make finding them without resorting to internet maps capable of changing your play style/char build till after you finished the game.
Experience gemstones were so low that you couldn't even make 1 extra level using them by the time you found enough to make a large gem the game was over.


Items
All Special named Plasma/Lasers that do less damage then the default laser/plasma gun now get 1 socket.
No real reason existed to to use them over default Plasma/Lasers and by the time you got to them you could normally use a normal plasma/laser rifle.
WARNING
REMOVE GEMS FROM WEAPONS BEFORE UPGRADING THE WEAPON.The game actually swaps the weapon out for a new type so its GEMS are lost. ***BEEN WARNED*** YOU LOSE THEM AND ITS YOUR FAULT!

Magic Weapons
Berserker and Cleric Fists now get 2 sockets
health steal doesn't seem to work, extra damage gems do work but only seem to with primary damage skill like PSI Mind bolt, skills like force field do not appear to work.
If you notice combo that do/don't work please give feedback.

Spell Changes.(can be downloaded by themselves with out the above changes using the old Cleric file)
PSI Projectile
Does double damage and slightly faster.

PSI Force Field
Damage changed to 41 and type changed to lightning, attack range of orbs increased slightly.
Why?
Did 15/20 damage and gets no bonus from improving Cleric PSI Damage Skill, was effectively worthless, being unable to overcome the armour on pretty much every mob in the game. If you can get enough mobs together it can beat blackhole in efficiency but without the stagger/stun.

PSI Mental Manacle
Damage increased by 50%.

PSI Amplifier Chain Lightning
Speed doubled because it was retarded how slow it was.

PSI Thrower and AMP spells are now hopefully balanced, thrower lets you kill strong single targets while amplifier allows better handling and killing of groups.

make a save with all gems uninstalled in equipment.
Extract into "Elex\data\packed\" where ever you installed the game.
To remove uninstall all gems and delete.
