My observations from the vanilla game: I went through all the introductory quests of all factions and became the captain of the outcasts, I stole from everyone and robbed everyone's pockets, I walked around in glasses showing loot and in the end I had 75 thousand Elexit. I upgraded the Chainsaber -3, I upgraded the heavy crossbow -3, I upgraded the Kaboom - 3, I upgraded the Modified Grenade Launcher - 3 and ended up with 22k Elexit left. I haven't even bought the captain's armor yet, and that's with the discount skill taken! Roughly speaking, I am completely naked and with a saber, it is not possible to buy ammunition. I think this mod is the only correct rebalance and yes I refuse OP sunglasses and I don't want to steal, I don't want to kill those who can be saved, because every life is important. The developers of this game are a faint shadow of those who made Gothic. The second part of Eleks is generally a shame!
I don't agree with all you said, however I salute to your min-maxing skills. And of course, thank you very much for the words of credits. Let us hope that good new games are yet to come!
Unless one merges the mods, I fear it won't be. See the section about compatibility. Anyway, I've patched the Elex Overhaul too, it's only fair to do it for the "original" as well.
The patcher now waits to be deemed safe / unsafe by Nexusmods. That's because there is the elexresman.exe tool from https://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/threads/1512504-tool-Elex-Resource-Manager NexusMods has policies about the safety of .exe files.
Check the mod page tomorrow afternoon. NexusMods support is generally pretty fast `;3 It's possible the patcher would be un-quarrantined by that time.
