I tried the mod and it's almost perfect, it only feels like ranged weapons need a little more buff towards end game. Can you please consider it for 1.3.1? It would make this mod the ultimate one.
Im thinking of creating an overhaul ++ could you expand on what buffs/values you think range weapons need? Is it just a 10-20% buff to attack power or something maybe related to stats needed to use the weapons ? Do you think range weapons serve their intended purpose? does the sniper rifle works as expected? any details you(or anyone suggesting a buff to range combat) can provide will help me deploy the mod faster.

Any chance of integrating some range distance combat implementation? i.e. for sounds and "feeling". I could not really find a mod that fixes once and for all the ranged combat. In the vanilla experience is the main missing point I think. I still remember how nice was the feeling of using a bow in gothic 3, even if at an early dev stage, both for the loading arrows animation and Impact. Not sure why PB abandoned that system.
I liked this implementation from @magusthemagician but cannot really find any of his mod links online.

Hi would you recomend playing this mod on the first playthrough ? I am a Gothic games veteran and also recently finished Gothic 2 with L Hiver 1.6 mod which besides lot other things balances the game ( mayby rather makes more challenging) and couldnt play without that anymore. From what I readed about Elex its combat and balance seems bit unfinished so its bit broken expecially on beggiining so does this mod adress that ? Does this intend to make the game more balanced or rather more challenging like L Hiver did with Gothic 2 ? ( original Gothic 2 NOTR is now too easy for me but thats mayby cause I played that game for years, while Elex will be my first playthrough) Does this intend to make the game more balanced or rather more challenging like L Hiver did with Gothic 2 ? Is Elex harder and/or less balanced than Gothic 2 ? Would you recommend to play this mod on first playthrough ? And what difficulty ?
Did you ever get an answer to that question about using it on first play? I am also wondering if I should.. because vanilla is so disgustingly unbalanced and broken. I feel like I'm committing myself to a game that I'll resent by the time I am halfway through.
Hi, I actually played it with this mod on first playtrough and it was great, but I played berserker using meelee and magic. Later I tried to switch to ranged but even with maxed out stats and best weapons it felt unplayeable becouse of almost nonexistent damage . Multiple people commented it tooo, that this mod broked ranged, so I would recommended only for meelee or magic - so basically berserker. I played on second hardest difficulty. Also I would reccomend you to download some mod which changes elex and cold functionality, as in vanilla game after drinking hundreds of elex potions you choose few diaalog options and you are back on 0 Cold so it dont feel very impactfull, and this mod dont adress this ( it only makes potions more expensive on materials ).
I have just started ELEX and am disgusted by everything within 5 minutes. Does this fix graphical issues like gliding cutscene actors, the stupid crap like backspace being locked to "back", mouse cursor stuck on screen always and the gamma slider not working?
Sadly any archive I download (even older versions) give me a corrupted archive, no matter which CND location I choose. Is this a generic Nexusmods issue somehow?
Edit: Nevermind, I could fix the issue by using 7zip instead of WinRAR. :)
After finishing the game, I would say that Legendary Weapon need more buff. Since they are late game weapon due to their high stats requirement, it would only make sense that they are more powerful than level 3 weapon with gems. I think they should at least on par with level 3 weapons with 3 large gems. In this case, player hase the incentive to meet the requirement of legendary weapon.
I copied the file into '/Packed' folder but I don't see any changes in the game. As I understand, description of some attributes is different vs vanilla, so the difference is easy to spot. But copying the file into the folder doesn't work so I've been playing all this time vanilla game (I'm level 7 now). Does anyone know why the mod is not active, or what should I do to make it active?
Things like that happen with this game. I would restart the game to with or without the mod to try out. It happen more frequently if you play with other mods. Parry Power is now Knockdown Resistance in this mod.

I read in a reddit post (in a thread author resoonded to) that late game feels nerfed so people end up switching to vanila and uninstalling mod.
I like everything about it but i don't want to play in a way that i have to hit a rat 19 times to kill him when in vanila on normal it takes 4 hits.
