this is my first time using xpadder, when i downloaded it, extracted your file and opened it using xpadder the layout was blank and im not sure if this is how its supposed to be but i fell like it should look the same as your screenshots you have uploaded here. any advice would be appreciated.
Nicely done of course. I changed my setup as I am sure most did. However I am having a problem and I am really unsure why. I have noticed that you set left bumper blank and whatever key I assign there doesn't seem to work. If I change what I want to something else it works fine it is only that left bumper that doesnt seem to do anything. Is this an issue on my part or was there a reason why left bumper cannot be used? Thanks in advance for any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not bad at all. I don't use an Xbox controller but this works just fine for the xpadder settup on my cheap logitech game pad. It's a nice settup. After playing with your config I switched a few things around here and there and made it a bit more personalized. All in all you saved me some time and gave me some ideas, thanks!
Thanks I appreciate your kind words. might as well say it now though im not currently playing eso anymore (i plan to go back sometime) so im not really working on this mod anymore. if an update comes around that changes buttons for some functions this may not work anymore.
once i do come back however i plan to clean up the controller settings and add in game button support so instead of showing the key it will tell you what button to press. till then Happy Gaming!
When I downloaded Xpadder it only dl one file, no folder. There is no folder to extract your files to. Plz help. I HATE using keyboard for gaming, so I was excited to see your mod.
the file is compressed please download winrar to uncompress it. winrarlabs is located at http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm after you have downloaded and installed it you should be able to double click the file or right click and choose extract to/
Thanks for this, working smoothly and the Xpadder info, well worth the small investment. No more hand cramps. Combat is so much better especially melee, any ideas about vibration. Skyrim's Block and Shield Bash had a nice solidity about it you could feel those heavy attacks.
thank you i appreciate your support! I have no idea how to implement a rumble feature i do know however that xpadder alone can not do this. reason being is to know when to rumble xpadder would need feedback from the game however, xpadder only maps keyboard keys (and mouse) to your controller. i would be interested in finding a way to do this but i feel that the only way will be to convince zenimax to give us controller support.
i feel that eso tries to make you feel like you really connect with your hits (try fighting in first person and you can your wepon stop and slow down as you hit your enemy). also they have added many hand animations for when you interact with objects (think dishonered) with rumble support you are correct this game would have a much more solid feel maybe even more than skytim (most likley only possible in an instanced dungeon being solod as to not have any lag possibilities).
Talking about possiblities this game has some serious potential. but us modders will have a big part to play in that as with any other bethesda release. ~happy modding/gamming.
Yes it is made with the most recent version of xpadder. Also note that this is only for 360 controllers, however you may take the screenshots and make a mapping using them for any controller that contains the same number of buttons.
