WELCOME TO ESO_NEXT
ESO_Next Is a ESO Next Generation Remaster Project with the aim to continue to keep the graphics in ESO at quality levels that match AAA games of to day. I use only the highest quality shaders possible to provide that truly next generation feel. ESO_Next implements modern graphics techniques like Raytraceing, HDR, Advanced texture sharpening (custom built for ESO_Next) , Advanced Anti-Aliasing and more by hooking in to the games graphics engine through multiple ways such as depth and color buffer allowing ESO_Next to use actually use game data and provide effects in real time instead of just a post process overlay like most other Reshade presets. Questions for suggestions please leave a comment or join my discord. Please feel free to leave a review the more feed back i have from users the better i can make this mod.
RayTraceing And Advance Graphics Shaders
Some of the screen shots i post may seem darker on your device then they will appear in your game due to the fact i play in HDR and images are taken in HDR at 1000nits.The images can seem darker then they actually are when viewed on a SDR display due to the lower brightness. This only effects HDR screen shots being viewed on non hdr displays and is not representative of what you will see when playing the game on a SDR display.
Major Update ESO_Next 3.0 Beta 1
Update Version 3.0 beta 1 of the ESO_Next project has arrived and with it comes a reworking of of just about every system with aim of bringing eso in to 2024.
Performance improvement's - Full range package from 1080p/60 up to 4k/60 -
Colors - Colors have been tuned for HDR and SDR big thanks to Mr.Lingters for help on color calibration (small tweaks to in 3.0 over 2.2)
Texture Improvements - Texture clarity and frame stability with RT have been greatly increased
Lighting/Shadows - Large Overhaul to RT lighting and shadows. (this version of ESO_Next takes a large step forward with the quality and accuracy of RT effects in ESO and this has been achieved with no performance hit but rather a small uplift to performance due to optimizations) (updated to latest RTGI build iMMERSE_Pro_2403) ALL in game lighting and shadows have now been replaced with full RT. Consider this pathtraceing mode but this time with better performance.
FSR and DLSS support - (I suggest using FSR/DLSS - Ultra Quality Mode)(upscalers in this game are pretty bad just know they have their own issues so not recommended)
Anti Aliasing (SMAA) - Advanced depth based SMAA - with ad-hoc compute shader extensions (up to 70% faster than reference).
Optional DOF - You can now activate martys dof shader for help with no fog mode or for people wanting a different dof solution this can be activated but it is not active by default. (mainly for use with fog off)
Hot keys for Fog off have been changed to F10+F12
Since this is a beta build im going to need your feedback since i removed the lighting from the game this has effected how the fog shader works and thus has made it harder to keep it from conflicting with RT. Tho i have managed to do so there might be a few times in random areas where it cuts in and out please let me know where you find these areas and how annoying it really is im trying to find a complete fix but at the moment i have only found a few places that cause the issue so it might not be much of a problem. You should also do a full install as many files have been edited so to update to this version please do a full install. Also make sure you select the 3.0 ini from the drop down box at the top of reshade to activate the update you can switch back to 2.2 at any time by switching back to the 2.2 ini.
To use this update you must turn off in game AO completely you should set this setting to none
Highly Recommended to use Reshade Performance Mode with ESO_Next
RT Effects have been fixed and no longer interact with fog or UI elements the ugly conflicts with ui and fog should be no more
Fog removal has been added to the main package but is not active by default for fog completely off press F10+F12 and then hit them again to turn fog back on
This build introduces new and updated shaders (I recommend clean install when upgrading from ESO_Next 1.7 or lower). All shaders are provided other then iMMERSE_Pro_2403 package. Be sure to turn in game DOF, AA, bloom and lens flair off in game you should also re calibrate your gamma levels apon your first boot of the game after install. Thank you to all my testers for helping bring ESO to the Next Level!!
Due to the RT overhaul your game will be slightly darker then normal at times since in this update i adjusted the games fake built in ambient lighting to allow the dynamic RT lighting system to produce more of the games lighting and more accurate lighting so times of day and lighting feel more impactful. With this make sure you adjust your gamma on first logging after updating to latest version.
ESO_Next FOG REMOVAL
Performance targets -
4k/60 = 4080 or 7900xtx
1440p/60 = 4070TI,3090TI or 7800xt,6900XT
1080p/60 = 4060,3070 or 7700XT,6700XT
Install Guide Has Been Updated For 2.1 Follow The Guide Below
For 24/7 support as well as Beta Builds feel free to join my Discord
The zip i provide contains a Modified version of reshade meant to allow accesses to the depth buffer so that ray tracing can be used online with eso along with all the shaders (except for the iMMERSE_Pro_2312 shader package you can get that from Marty the 5$ sub is all you need then just install to the shader and texture folders in your reshade install) and textures needed along with ini files.
Reshade Install
Before Reshade is installed copy your reshade Folder from the ESO_Next install package to your eso folder and the ESO_Next-2.2.ini , Shadertoggle.addon64, shadertoggle.ini, ReshadeEffectShaderToggler.addon64 and ReshadeEffectShaderToggler.ini files will go in your /client folder
Once the is installed you can now install Reshade
once you select your eso game path you then want to select DX10/11/12 and click next
once click you will see shader packages to install you dont need to install any and can skip this step since what you need is the iMMERSE_Pro_2312 and the rest are provided in the ESO_Next install package.
Next you install iMMERSE_Pro_2403 by Marty McFly Again this is 5$ and a must have https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg/posts
Once installed your shader folder should look like the image below if it does not you can just delete any files or folders you don't see in the image below
Now that you have every thing installed on your first boot up you will want to select the ESO_Next Profile like so
Now your active shader list should look like the following if it dose not just drag the shaders in to the correct order.
In Game Graphic Settings
Next is your in game graphics settings they should look like this ( In game Dof can be turned on or off with version 1.1 or higher to suit your taste.)
Now i recommend a addon called VOTAN'S ADVANCED SETTINGS https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1482-VotansAdvancedSettings.html
Now you should be ready to play ill leave you all with a few screen shots to see what results you can expect.
