For anyone coming here because Necrom broke daybreak, try this fix. Rename the files in the ShaderAddOns folder. The first line of each text file will say if it's the DOF or the FOG. Rename the FOG shader to 9cdbdb6f9a6dbed7-ps_replace and the DOF to 55efc4f21ff1e1362-ps_replace
It's working on my end with latest reshade 6.1.1 and Atmosfaira ReShade. I just installed mod first, then reshade, then Atmosfaira preset and lastly the FOG/DOF fix at the top of the thread. Also had to turn off dlaa and dlss.
Hey guys, if you're having trouble getting this to work, follow this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/17zza48/daybreak_tutorial/
As of this post, you can still have extended view. I'm having trouble getting other presets to work alongside the change, but if you care about the extended view only, this works.
How does this nonsense works? The reshade doesnt find any .ini to load... it just says that i should select a preset to load. I downloadeding everything and anything and it seems there are no main files...
I selected full and overwritten.. and nothing. I selected and overwritten extended views.. nothing... this needs a proper tutorial.. all other reshade mods just loads up, but this one - missing.. nothing is loaded. hmmm
in the file download section there is instruction than says: "Requires reshade. Install this mod then install ReShade." Is this correct?? This doesn't make sense to me encase if you instal this first, and than overwrite it afterwards with default reshade files wouldn't this stop working than? Shouldn't this files overwrite the Reshade ones?
When you install ReShade, you get to pick a "Preset". That's when you pick this, or any other preset you have installed. The .ini file is the actual preset and any other files should be fine to overwrite with the ReShade installation! =)
There's a problem with the last release then ; the INI file isn't in the archive. When I launch the game, ReShade uses its default preset. If I tell it to load the d3dx.ini file, it tells me that it is not a valid preset.
Can someone please explain how to set this all up? I downloaded Daybreak Release 4.3, dropped the base files in "client" folder, decided for "Full" so I dropped its content in the "daybreak" folder. Then I installed ReShade, chose d3dx.ini in the preset installation setup, checked all the effects, finished. ReShade works in-game but when I choose d3dx.ini, it says "the selected file is not a valid preset". What am I doing wrong?
