I enjoy community interaction and read every comment, but unfortunately a small group of people have ruined it for everyone else.
Você ta usando um mod gratuito em um jogo que não comprou e ta bravo porque não recebeu supporte, tu é patético Coutisthell. Arruma suas coisas você mesmo
It's actually as easy as changing the file extension. iirc.
The only thing NRSC does is call a seperate Save-Extension from a different folder, so all you need to do is change that. But as ShadowwWizardMoneyGang said, not a good idea because you might get yourself perma-banned from the Vanilla servers which will make you unable to play Vanilla on that account ever again.
@Tetosan Oh, is it? Honestly I haven't tried it, but it would make sense, since atm there are no items that aren't present in vanilla, unlike ER proper. I don't think we know exactly what kind of edit or interaction might flag you for a ban, even if you were clean, though, so, it's a gamble with heavily stacked odds. I personally don't care about losing access to vanilla as I only play offline or with one other friend, plus I want to use mods, so OP, weigh what's more important to you, mods or access to randoms.
She has done incredible work in recent years, but now removing mods from unofficial games was shooting herself in the foot, I believe she had more attention or even donations from people who could not afford to buy the original game, but that's how it is, the mod is hers, and as she said she does not support piracy and just accepts it, with that she lost the gratitude and at the same time ended the joy of many people that she had been bringing for years.
Supporting Pirates would put her on FromSoft's hitlist... So you'd rather have no mod for everyone just because you can't manage to save 40$ for a game? Heck i live on Wellfare and was able to purchase it.
no Teto the mods being usable in pirated version won't put anyone in some "hitlist" you need to stop imagining things the case with modding pirated games has always been that if the mods work, its you being lucky and if it doesnt well that's a given becuz pirated games are DIFFERENT version of the game just like you won't expect a mod made for base ER to work in SoTE(although if it DOES, that's pure luck) a mod for the main(real) version of the game is not expected to work in a different+minor(pirated) version of the game cuz they are NOT the same game
If you live on welfare, but are spending 40 bucks on videogames, your priorities are out of whack, dude. Not a good example. I don't even disagree with you, just.. no.
SilencedVouivre i have specifically said "Supporting" pirates would risk Yui getting the mod put on a hitlist. With that i mean actively fixing the mod for pirates which is an actual thing that could happen. JP Laws and all.
That you are, ShadowwWizardMoneyGang, but i have no need to insult people on the internet. The example is not stupid at all. i know people from less fortunate countries that were able to save up the money.
If someone cries about a $40 Game in a time where titles easily cost $60+, i have to assume that they're spending their money on other things they should not use it on.
No mate, if they can't afford to spend 40 dollars on a game, let alone 60, then they REALLY shouldn't be spending money on buying games at all. They are, indeed, using what little they have on things they ABSOLUTELY should be using it on, like food... There's no need to judge them. I don't think art should only be available to those who can afford it. You can see they come from countries where that is a really big investment. I don't need to support people pirating to understand why they do it. I also don't need to agree with them doing it, I don't. This also doesn't mean that they're not acting entitled and rude - they are. Just, implying that a videogame, a luxury, is important enough to where even on welfare one should make do and spend money on it was silly and nonsensical.
Lmao What needs fixing? People can't just guess what you want by divination, you know. Are you using any other mods? Reg.bin tweaks? Did you do a clean reinstall? Did you verify integrity of game files?
I'm pretty sure I know why your game isn't working, but frankly you and every other whiny and entitled idiot bashing the author can go fix your own s#*! or bask on your incompetence
Of course, it's your right not to support pirated software, and that’s completely understandable. But on the other hand, there are many players especially in low-income countries who simply can't afford to buy the game. Personally, I was lucky enough to manage to buy it, even though it cost me half of my monthly salary. For many others in my country, it would take at least two months' worth of income to afford it.
I know this isn't your responsibility, but it's still unfortunate to see players being excluded from enjoying the game with their friends just because of financial limitations especially when $32 is a huge amount of money for people living outside the EU or North America.
This isn’t meant as an attack, just a comment on how the mod was disabled for those using cracked versions, which ends up limiting people who only want to enjoy the game with their friends after a long day of struggling already.
pirated games are literally different versions of the game. the fact that its not supported was not a "anti-piracy" stance, but that its straight up an extra effort modders have to invest time into supporting. there are games out there where the mods don't even support Xbox Game Pass version, do you think that happens becuz the modders are "anti-microsoft"? no becuz these games, despite having the same contents, RUN DIFFERENTLY beg you to understand that no one(at least not Yui) is specifically turning on a switch that says "pirated games=bad" in their mod becuz that's not how it works
If the mod is broken for people with pirated copies, then I would think that it is up to those people to find their own solutions or accept the fact that things may not always function correctly. Yui actively working towards accommodating pirates would be mod suicide. It is not her responsibility to ensure that it functions for people that do not own the game legitimately. Those people need to figure out their own solutions or accept the limited version of the software that they pirated, ie: singleplayer.
Ethics do not matter, this is very simply something that mod authors cannot do without inciting legal ire.
I'm indifferent to piracy. I don't provide technical support for it because who knows what modifications are going on in the background. I don't have any interest in adapting the mod for all 100 different cracked versions of every game.
para de xingar a mina porra, só pega os arquivos online fix no rentry da ecologica taca na pasta do pirata e inicia. é tão simples o mod ainda funciona pro pirata vc só precisa dos arquivos.
Because it allows the use of Mods, so you can actually do things that you shouldn't be able to do. So this way it doesn't accidentally get you banned if you forget to launch the game using the NRSC Executable
Because it disables anti-cheat and you don't connect to From's servers at all. Most likely the mod creator is planning on including extra stuff in the future as well. Besides, knowing there is no way your save was flagged is a peace of mind thing. I personally would never ever play vanilla so I don't care, I only play offline solo and seamless with one other friend.

(I DO NOT CARE about whether you own the game or not, or the ethics or pirating games, I just won't support it)

Also the Welfare in my country has like $60 allocated for Hobbies, which includes Video Games, so i am well in my right to use it for that :)
