When I turn on the FX preset it overexposes the s#*! out of everything, It's so bright you can barely see anything. If I disable the ppfx_bloom effect it seems to fix it, but I assume this also disables bloom? Is the FX preset broken?
This happens for some folks, depending on the GPU/driver/renderer combination. It's out of my control, but I could make an alternate preset that uses the "opposite" settings just like my Advent ReShade for example. If I used the Advent ReShade FX preset on Elden Ring it would be almost pitch black in my game, but for you it would look normal. Give me a few days to prepare and test it.
So there you have it. I will remake a special version of the FX preset based off my FFVII remake preset. See what I did there?
any idea which value could fix this i have the same problem? i would like to get a result close as you have intented for this reshade or do think this bloom shader is completly bugged for us?
I've released a hotfix. Use the "Elden ReShade FX bright fix" preset when you experience this issue.
To answer your question, the HDR Tonemap function is not working correctly. Your game or rendering device is not allowing the gamma control to work and thus the internal brightness is not being clamped within the range specified in the code template.
Please note that I cannot see the result that you will get in Elden Ring since the original FX preset works fine for me, and this hotfix makes my game almost completely black. However, it should be pretty accurate as I used FFVII remake to test it and the appearance was similar to the Lite preset in that game, which is the intended result. The HDR Tonemap makes the colors look better, and it adds bloom to different areas.
My game crashes whenever i run it and it only works if i renamed the "dxgi.dll" to "d3d11.dll" but in game the mod doesn't work and i can't access the GUI or see any difference when pressing the hotkeys.
You should also check if you have all the requirement for reshade. Reinstall driver for your vga. It's working fine for me without any adjustment, just straight out of the zip file.
Hello author, I downloaded other ReShade presets from the website, but they don’t have PageDown or PageUp key switches the depth of field function I can't find the relevant code and keyboard code in the ReShade.ini file, how can I add this functionality?
Not gonna lie, this is probably the most tasteful preset I ever saw, all games combined. And it applies to both versions (FX and FX DC), I started with the non-DC since I generally prefer to stay close to the vanilla feel but now that I'm trying DC I'm wondering if I'm not liking it even more : the colors, depth, contrast.. make the sceneries outstanding
Maybe my only complaint would be about the clarity fx which make the image too sharp (I prefer a softer render) but I can just deactivate it, doesnt seem to change the rest.

Elden ReShade FX: High contrast with Linear tonemapped HDR. Maximum level of depth and contrast without going too far.
Elden ReShade Lite: Performance friendly version of the FX preset. This is the recommended choice.
Elden ReShade SE: High contrast without tonemapped HDR. The overall image is more vibrant, but not too overexposed.
Director's Cut (DC): Uses a cinematic LUT with a slight tint to the contrast, and other tweaks. FX, Lite, and SE versions available.
Should I enable hdr in game settings too?
Here is a workaround. Open the ReShade.ini file and go to this section:
[INPUT]
ForceShortcutModifiers=1
InputProcessing=2
KeyEffects=35,0,0,0 Toggle effects on/off
KeyNextPreset=0,0,0,0
KeyOverlay=36,0,0,0 Opens the GUI
KeyPerformanceMode=0,0,0,0
KeyPreviousPreset=0,0,0,0
KeyReload=0,0,0,0
KeyScreenshot=44,0,0,0
Use this sheet as a reference to enter your new key codes. Keyboard Codes

dont work together with pirated version
I think your PC might be too weak cuz 93 fps is totally unplayable. You need at least 96 fps to play this game.
I use two mods: Seamless Co-op & ERR - Elden Ring Reforged.
Thanks.
