I was trying to replace Moonveil and i have a problem, basically the sheath doesn't work during the Transient Moonlight skill because the sheath remains along the hip rather than move to my characters hand... does anyone know how i can fix that?
Moonveil is what I originally wanted to replace with TDS, but I kept getting the same problem, that's why It's over dragonbone instead, you'll have to be patient until I figure it out
Hi, I found that https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/993 managed to get his weapon and sheath working correctly with moonveil's skill. Maybe you can take a look at his files to see how it works and modify your True Dragon Sword Mod.Cheers.
I can confirm what kuuga28 said. I tried replacing Moonveil with Uchigatana and some quick instructions by Tomanton22 (who made that Metal Gear Rising mod mentioned by kuuga28 earlier) I got the sheath working too. I have replaced Moonveil with Uchigatana and the sheath is working for the skill :D
a new custom Model like the True Dragon Sword is probably gonna be harder to do since Tomanton22 said you would have to tinker around Blender to assign some things to the model, but its definitely doable and you can ask him what you need to do to get the True Dragon Sword working.
here's what Tomanton22 said to me in how to replace Moonveil with Uchigatana and a working sheath:

But since you are just trying to replace the Moonveil with the Uchigatana, a weapon that already has those weights, you just have to copy/paste and rename a few files:
Get the Uchigatana (wp_a_0550.partsbnd.dcx) and Moonveil (wp_a_0556.partsbnd.dcx) model files
Unpack both with Yabber and go to the "wp_a_0550-partsbnd-dcx" folder and find the "WP_A_0550.flver", "WP_A_0550_1.flver" and "WP_A_0550.tpf" files and rename them to "WP_A_0556.flver", "WP_A_0556_1.flver" and "WP_A_0556.tpf".
Copy those files and paste them to the "wp_a_0556-partsbnd-dcx" folder where the "WP_A_0556.flver" is located and replace the files
Repack the "wp_a_0556-partsbnd-dcx" folder with yabber and you should have a file that replaces the Moonveil with the Uchigatana with the unsheathe skill working.
