If you are having issues with icons in game follow the steps below
To merge your 01_common.tpf.dcx file with the mod:
You will need WitchyBND to unpack the archive first.
1. Navigate to your Mod Engine 2 mod folder, and inside find your menu folder, click the hi folder and select your original 01_common.tpf.dcx file, drag and drop it onto WitchyBND's exe file and it will unpack the contents into the folder where the file is located.
2. Open my mod's files and go into the merging folder, find a folder of the same name of the file you're trying to change, and copy and paste the contents into your original unpacked folder.
3. Repack the 01_common.tpf.dcx folder with WitchyBND the same way you unpacked it
For anyone thats not using any mods that edits your menu, therefore you dont have any menu folder inside your Mod Engine 2 mod folder. You can unpack your entire Elden Ring by using this mod. After you unpack Elden Ring, you should be able to find a ELDEN RING/Game/menu/hi folder. You can then just follow the instructions from Imersa's sticky.
Not bugged. You missed something in the installation process. I suggest you reinstall the mod from scratch following the installation steps in the description and the stickies above.
Nice, but upon checking the file, some of the effects arent there, like the rune gain, bow range etc. But its okay, made me learn something new and adjusted it to my needs. Thanks
The modded talisman replaces the Crimson Amber Medalion. You can start the game with it by choosing it as a keepsake, or you can purchase it from a certain merchant.
Very possible. You'll have to make that change for yourself though. I'm not going to be updating this mod for a while, just don't have the time for ER modding anymore..
Thanks for confirming. Just one more question, how would I be able to make the change? Im very new to modding and I really dont want to do the wrong thing and mess everything up.
Wish this was DLL and not regulation, I'm trying to get this to work with Randomizer but it just not working out for me, I tried Yapped, Smithbox, DSMapStudio and I just can't get around it to merge those two together.
Hi, If you run the mod with Mod Engine 2 (Launch Elden Ring mod bat), the mod works, however, I am encountering some missing images like: DLC items do not show up, and the DLC map has a missing building symbol.
While playing, if you toggle items description, the items will display so I am playing with the mod while having an empty ICON display
I am trying to find a way to fix it, but it seems Mod Engine 2 replaced the texture from the mod to the game.
I am still new to modding, if I can find a way to change it, I will get back to you.
I really recommend that you use mod engine 2 so that you don't accidentally mess up your ER main directory and continue to open the game through ME2. You don't need to use toggle anti-cheat stuff if you are using ME2. To answer your question, the mod should work as long as it is installed correctly.
Hi, I really love your mod. However, I encounter some issues. I read your pinned post about icon errors. I did follow your steps to replace the dcx file ( 01_common.tpf.dcx). But some icon in the menu, and DLC items do not show up (they display as "ICON"). Could help me? Step by step guide could be helpful Thank you, and hope you make more mods in the future :))
If you followed the installation in the description correctly, there should be no problems. It sounds to me that you either manually installed ME2 incorrectly and/or the mod incorrectly. I've described to multiple people in these comments how to install this mod correctly, just read through the comments. Uninstall the mod, reinstall it by following the description, and if you have other mods that are overwriting it, which is most likely your problem, follow the sticky above.
