Screw this guy for shitting on fair multiplayer... What a troll. It's quite often I see a new level 20-50 running around in full cruible armor or bull goat, crazy weapons, and flasks, light rolling away to eat more boiled crab, heal for the 10th time, and pop seemingly infinite star shards for FP while I'm leveling new characters and playing coop. At least I never see them more than a few times, I hope they are getting locked out of MP like they deserve.
Hello, Sorry if my question is repeated or not but this is my very first souls game and I love it and tbh I cant afford to get banned. But at the same time I want to have an easy way to get some items ? and keep a legit items and this is the best one I can find so far but can I just ask. From what I read from the comments here it seems that the issue with Rogiers Rapier +0. Cant you just make this save file again without this item and also to be with the latest game version (1.06 atm)? Wouldnt this just fix the issue or I'm misunderstanding how this works? Again sorry for the hassle and I really appreciate what you did. Keep up the good work ?
all weapons including the accidental trade of Rogiers Rapier +0 were done immediately after character creation. In order to create a save file where the Rogiers Rapier +0 has never existed in, I would need to clear the entire game again. If I remember correctly this was a project that took me around a hundred hours to complete and that is time I simply do not have nowadays.
I have no plans for the foreseeable future in regards to expanding the save-file. However, to anyone reading this reply:
Feel free to use my save file and expand on it. I don't mind if you upload the expanded version as your own on here. However, I would appreciate if you credited me in your post.
Disclaimer: I won't take responsibility if you get banned by using any expanded version of my save that is not uploaded by me.
When I try to run the savecopier.exe I get a Windows dialogue that says "This app cannot run on your PC- To find a version that works, contact the publisher"
I have a standard Windows 10 pc with good hardware. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix it or get the right version?
OP has lied about every item being legitimately acquired. The save possesses two +0 rogier's rapiers which are unobtainable at anything less than +8 through normal gameplay. Users beware.
Edit: As of 4/19, after playing on this save daily, I received a warning for tampering with the game files, despite deleting the rapiers the moment I discovered them nearly a week ago. The account has zero other tampering aside from downloading this save. I have now deleted all the saves and will update if the account is banned.
Edit: 4/27 with the update this morning, the warning finally went away after deleting the saves last time I edited this post.
Seems a little over the top to accuse OP of lying right away. Oversights can happen sometimes. Best to wait and see what they say before jumping to conclusions.
If anything I'd say it's probably because he got all of this stuff via trading to make the items appear legitimate to the game itself, but the person he traded it from hacked everything in.
I did indeed mess up, as we have multiple saves, both legit and non legit that are constantly traded in-between. It seems that before I started this project, these rapiers made it to one of the mules and were then traded over by accident. However, I have no intentions of deceiving anyone.
I had made sure to double check so that none of these items got carried over (such as unobtainable armor), but I have clearly missed these. I'm sorry. I have removed them from the v6 version and also archived the older versions. Considering the rapiers have been hiding in plain sight for over a week, I doubt anyone will get in trouble. That being said, I will sticky your reply and then people can decide whether this oversight is a deterrent or not.
I have no warning and it works fine for me on the v6 version as of 14th of April. The rapiers are the only items that would technically be unobtainable (however this is the upgrade level, the item itself is not cut content). Furthermore non upgraded weapon level was never a illegal item level. I honestly doubt they would put in 1 specific flag like that for just one weapon, just in this one game (considering all the similarities to DS3). In other souls games you got slapped for a upgrade level higher than allowed, only.
Also, a 180 day penalty has typically been handed out for frequent disconnects during multiplayer. Since it's FROM there is no source of course, but there is enough people talking about that for years to at least make it sound reasonable. On top of that I have never seen FROM temp-ban people for "illegal" items. That's usually a straight up perma.
I'm checking this save daily multiple times and I'll pull the entire thing down the second I get any sort of message myself. However, these two reports of consequences do not alert me, as from my souls experience they are most likely related to other things. Still, if the reports keep increasing I'll consider taking it down.
Edit: Banwaves are every wednesday. I have been online with this save in all of its versions for 3 weeks, so I've not been flagged in 3 banwaves and we've had two reports in the same time span, with now well over 1k downloads. Make of those numbers what you will.
I only used the Savegame for a week with the unobtainable Rapier weapon. I also don't think deleting Individual characters or the cheated item does anything, since the whole Savegame seems to be flagged. So I had to roll back the entire Savegame. If he just deleted the Rapier, his Savegame could be still flagged, if he only deleted the weapon and didn't roll back the entire Savegame to the point before the trade of the cheated item happened.
I don't normally reply on here. I got the unauthorized warning yesterday from the v4. No prior items, never used any sort of cheat engine or other item, and everything else in my save game was acquired through 300+ hours of gameplay. I reverted my save to prior to using the v4 file so hopefully that goes away in a week or so.
Now, I made a new steam account and bought the game again. I loaded up the v6 file and am playing with it for PvP. I'll let you know if I get flagged for anything in a week or so, as the only thing I've used that game account for was to use this file and check if it was going to flag on my main account. Money well spent if the save isn't perm flagged...
Thank you for your efforts, this is the least I could do to repay your work.
All the gear was traded before I even started clearing the map. I used many of the weapons and talismans to clear the game after all. A revert is not possible, which is why I will have to pull the entire thing down. That's also the reason why I am so hesitant on that decision.
As for flags, I still have not been flagged and I've had this save way longer than anyone else. Since flags seem to go out in waves, my thought process was that if the items are deleted before it's "your turn", you should be fine. Then again you never know with FROM.
Edit: This is just a random thought, but I was thinking that maybe the act of copying over a character with the tool could cause a flag. I simply use the save file itself. I have no need for other saves so I have not actually copied any chars. However its hard to say which such little amount of reports.
Historically, if you picked up a bad item from an invader or whatnot, you just drop it and you'd be fine. This is hopefully the same mechanic. I'll know in a week or so if my specifically purchased account gets flagged, and will report back to you.
That sounds good, I worked a lot on my char and would be annoyed if it's the whole save that's flagged. I've logged 80 hours into the game, less than most perhaps but it would still be lost hours and effort that i don't want to go through again. Please keep us updated
I look forward to seeing further updates on this issue. I have only ever copied over friend's saves up until this point, but I'd very much like to make use of this save if it is deemed to be safe. Thank you to everyone who is actively testing the save.
SauerDeschain, Also, how would you use the save file itself without transfering the character over? Isn't that file only valid for the original steam ID and that's whjy we have to go through that transfering program?
Hey Sauer, can you share with us which tool fixes the steamID issue? According to the other new sticky post, the steamID seems to be what flags the users.
https://github.com/BenGrn/EldenRingSaveCopier/releases/tag/v0.0.2-alpha is what I am using. Seems to work so far, but I'll know if I get hit on this new account during this weekly check. Hopefully not. I'll keep everyone posted.
It is the same tool, but I'm doing this on a new purchase of the game with no other items done to it except use it, and this save, so I can test whether the v6+ version is safe for everyone. <3

thanks thats very kind of you. Are you using only the file now or did you copy the char over?

So maybe it is the tool? But it's odd, why would a tool flag anything, and in that case why just for a few people
Great work, thanks for your contribution to the community.
