so i was following the directions but i didnt listen carefully enough and i deleted the original ER00001.sl file and the original ER00001.sl2.bak file and i didnt make a back up for either of them. ive tried everything like deleting all the game files and uninstalling elden ring and reinstalling it, downloading a mod that had a ER00000.sl2.blk file and putting that in the original place and neither of those have worked. when i start up my game all it says is "cannot load saved data" which it has never done before until i accidentally deleted those files. i also tried backing up all the files on steam then starting my game up and that hasnt worked either. I'm praying that there is some hope in fixing this problem if anyone is willing to help.
Have you tried steam's verify file integrity option? in theory it should read the missing file and the steam cloud should come out as "outdated" and when opening the game replace a new save to create a game again
The whetblades aren't working as intended. although they are in the inventory i'm not able to freely grant affinities to weapons. this is on clubussy save file
