I can't get this mod to work whatsoever I've installed into the mod engine 2 mod folder and it just won't show up in game is there something im doing wrong or what
There should be no modded helmets in any of the files on this page.
My other mod, Male Rellana Armor, has a helmet replacer in the "04 - No Cloth" optional file. It is a re-texture of the regional knight cape. It should be named hd_m_2141.partsbnd.dcx and it replaces the Commoner's Headband (Altered) not the Rellana helmet.
this may be a dumb question but is there a way to have the female carian armor apply to the female and the male version (no boobplate) to apply to male or do I have to just pick one or the other and I can't apply the boobplate to the female and the no boobplate to the male?
For now you can only install one version at a time. There is a way to make it work as you describe, but that requires editing the regulation.bin which is beyond the scope of this mod for now. Id like to get it working one day though.
Okay, I was just wondering if it was possible without regulation.bin editing. I'm fine with the mod as it is to be honest, as I don't usually mess with regulation.bin merging/editing because I just don't know how to do it.
Hey, would it be possible to add bottom part of the carian armor (the long blue flowy skirt) and add it to the Rellana's leggings? I've always wanted to mix and match armor with the skirt instead of being forced to wear the carian chest piece
The physics of the skirt are part of the chest armor, and the chest armor does not have a bones for the legs, so, if there is, i don't know how to do it. It is possible to isolate the skirt and turn it into a helmet re-placer like the Isolated Capes mod does though.
This might be a lot to ask, but would it be possible to take the standard male version you have now with the Carian Knight skirt, but add in the blue sash/chain on the chest? I don't know if the blues would match or not, though or if they would look funky. I just really love the sash and I think it adds a nice regal touch.
I just discovered this mod from your separate male mod and didn't realize how amazing the armor looks with your symmetry adjustments to the mirrored pauldrons and elbow crops. I asked for the no leather version on the other mod, but I think your addition of the Carian Knight skirt looks way better than just cutting the leather tassets.
That might be possible. If it is, the sash will lose all it's physics. There is high chance there will a lot clipping as well, since the sash wont be able to move properly out of the way on its own. I might be able to mitigate some of that through traditional rigging though.
I'd probably change the sash to the same darker blue as the Carian skirt has, that shouldn't be too hard. I already did that to the gambison anyhow.
Ill can mock something up to see what it looks like at least.
I see! I would be interested in seeing the mock-ups, but please don't waste your time if you feel like it's not worth it. Just me trying to have the best of both worlds.
Got to that mock up finally, with the darker blue sash. Looks nice from the front at least. The back part of the sash will need a bit more work to keep it under control it seems. Ill see what i can do about it, but no promises, not super familiar with the weight painting in blender.
Oh that looks very nice! I'm honestly amazed at what you've done so far, with the mod in general. Modders like you really breathe a lot of creativity into an already wonderful game, so thank you!
I got the sword model from this mod. You want to use the "Rellana's Moon" version. Simply change the number in the file to match number of your favorite sword shaped thing from this list. Then put it in your Mod Engine 2 parts folder.
Out of curiosity, have you had any luck keep the back of the sash under control? If not I completely understand, just curious if you were still working on it or not!
I have been very busy with work and home repairs, and i haven't had a whole lot of time to work on the mod. I do plan to get back to this version at some point.
While working a different request that in my Male Rellana armor mod, i was able to discover the solution to one of the issues i have been having for some time with this one. While i have not had anyone explicitly mention it yet, i have had to prevent blood spatter and rain from affecting any of the versions with the Carian Knight skirt. This includes the Main File, No Cape, and Full Cape versions as well as the mirrored Carian Knight gauntlets. This was due to either a UV/texture bug, or a bug in the outdated flver editing software i have to use to apply textures to the models that include DLC armor.
In any case, i am now working on restoring the the effects so that the armor will once again be able to get wet and bloody. I did need build my master file from scratch to be able to do this though. I am currently play testing all effected versions, and i hope to have them ready for a 1.2 update very soon. Ill get back to mod requests once this goes up.
Oh no worries, gotta take care of where you live after all. Thank you for the update though! Congrats on figuring out the textures issue as well, I bet that's a good feeling! I'll keep an eye on the mod and I look forward to seeing it continue to develop.
Have an issue with the cape version, right elbow armor is invisible from the back but viewing the character from the front i can see the faces of the mesh still. IDK if the part of the armor is intended to be invisible or not, its there on other versions but the cap version doesn't have a rear facing screenshot for me to be sure.
Hello ! This mod was awesome, did you think about adding different colors to replaces blue like the carian knight set recolor mod ? I'd very like to see it with black cape and skirt, that's look very nice in my mind.
No plans to do recolors at this time. It is a fairly simple process to use existing recolors in my mod if you like. You only need one tool, WitchyBND.
- Unpack both my mod and the recolor mod by dragging the .dcx file onto the WitchyBND application file. You need to keep the two mods in separate folders. - In the folder created by WitchyBND there will be a .tpf file. Use WitchyBND to unpack it in the same way as the .dcx file. Do this for both mods. - Inside the .tpf folder will be 3 textures. You want the file(s) that end in "3090_a.dds" or "1500_a.dds" as they hold the color information. In this case, 3090 is the number for Rellana Armor, and 1500 is the number for Carian Kight Armor. - Move the file(s) from the recolor mod into the .tpf folder of my mod. - Repack the .tpf folder of my mod by dragging the folder onto the WitchyBND application file once again, then repack the .dcx folder in the same way. - Drop the resulting .dcx file into the parts folder in Mod Engine 2.
Hello. First, thank you for the great mod. Second, is it possible to have a male rellana armor (carian chest piece) version with closed elbow pad? I like the blue cloth, but the open elbow pad/ armor on the right arm is very ugly. Would it be possible to replace it with the model on the left elbow. Thank you

I'd like to have a version of the 'Rellana Carian Knight Armor' without the red sash on the back, and the left pauldron removed.

Now I'm just waiting for that sword to replace any of the great swords and the ultimate Carian cosplay will be complete.
