Hi, I have a question. I've been trying to get the "flaming strike" ash of war to work on the handheld Ballista. I got it to work by making the skill available to the Ballista, as well as making sure that the Ballista can have its skills changed. The problem is, the damage of the Flaming strike is really small. It seems like it's not scaling properly like other weapons when I apply this ash to it.
Did you add fire damage to the weapon when you modified the weapon's combat skills? Because combat maneuver damage is based on the weapon's damage value, if you don't add another fire damage value, the combat maneuver can't deal damage.
Do we add it in the Damage: Fire section of the EquipParamWeapon ? It's strange because weapons like the Caestus for example, don't have fire damage either but when you equip the "Flame Strike" ash of war it manages to add fire damage properly.
EDIT: I think I understand. Almost every weapon that can have affinity changes have different version in the Regulation file. One that includes Fire stats, Ice stats, Lightning stats, etc depending on what ashes of war we equip it with. The Ballista only has one version which explains why it has no other versions to reference when changing affinity.
Would you mind sharing how you made these changes to the item. Did you use Yapped bear to do it and if so, what values did you edit to get the desired result?
Yes, I modified it with Yapped bear, modified the Behavior Variation ID and Weapon Art ID And added magic power and fire damage to it, so that the combat skills can play the damage effect normally.
