DETAILS:

This is a simple merge between the two mods: Detailed Item Descriptions and Map for Goblins.

I used Yabber to unpack and replace the placename file from Map for Goblins into the Detailed Item Descriptions item.msgbnd.dcx.

For the post-Erdtree DLC I used Smithbox to merge the regulation.bin params.

I used DSMapStudio to merge the regulation.bin params for the old version.

INSTALLATION:

Download the other two mods (click on their names above for links) and install them. After you install one, replace any files it asks you to replace with the files from the second mod you install. Lastly, install and replace my merged files. That's it!

NOTICE: For future releases of updates to Elden Ring, don't be too certain I'll update this mod! Try to follow my very brief guide as well as other videos on how to merge files for Elden Ring (I have no coding experience and even I could figure it out!) I highly encourage you to learn because it helps in the long run if you continue using mods!

UPDATE 1.10.1:

My merge was originally created for an older version of the game, but a newer merge for the latest update (before the upcoming DLC) has appeared! All credits to TheRealLuigi089 for updating the merge! Detailed Item Descriptions and Map for Goblins Merge for 1.10.1

SHADOW OF THE ERDTREE DLC UPDATE:
Now that the DLC dropped and the mods have been updated, I have returned! According to the mod author of Detailed Item Descriptions, there will be a future update that has mod compatibility patches! When that time comes, my merge will be obsolete. Until then, here is (hopefully) a working merge for Map for Goblins v1.05 and Detailed Item Descriptions v1.3.4! I loaded the game and checked that both were active, but I have done no extensive testing. IF YOU FIND ISSUES, MAKE SURE IT'S A MERGE ISSUE AND NOT A MOD ISSUE. I won't be able to help (see disclaimer below).

ISSUES:

It is very possible that the mod merging process COULD cause a bug within the game, however I highly encourage you to figure out if it persists within one of the main mods first! I am NOT a mod creator and I don't have a single clue how to make a mod, so chances are I won't be able to help you fix it. Once again, I highly encourage you to check with the other mod creators to see if this bug happens with their mod by itself. If there is no link to either mod causing an issue, then I apologize but it is most likely just something that's not compatible.
