1. Can you remove X part of the armor or do color Y?
No. I will no longer be taking requests for new colors or modifications to the models. I have too many mods now and don't want to add unnecessarily to my workload.
2. Will you do 2K or Vanilla versions?
No. The methods I use to make my mods take a long time. I'm someone who is methodical and doesn't like to put less than 100% into my mods. Cutting out 2K/Vanilla versions saves MANY hours of work and a lot of hard drive space. It literally halves the amount I need to do. If it is truly an issue, you are free to downscale the textures in whatever way you see fit, but for personal use only. I do not allow the re-uploading of my mods.
3. Can you upscale something to 2K/4K for me with Gigapixel AI?
No. If you're looking for vanilla textures to be upscaled, then please go to the Texture Improvement mod. It's what originally inspired me to get Gigapixel AI and make my mods just as stunning. They have 2K and 4K versions of the Environment, Characters, Armor and Weapons. It's linked in the Description page.
4. Will you be doing weapons?
I currently have no plans to start in on weapons. Personally, it doesn't bother me if weapons do not match the armors. If it did, I promise you I would have already done them. Never say never, though!
5. Can you recolor/remodel *insert armor set here*?
I'll always hear your suggestions, but I can't appease everyone. I wrote the Recolor Guide and Tutorial for this specific instance. My designs and tastes are not for everyone, and I know I won't be doing all armor sets/pieces because I have to have a certain passion for what I'm creating. Please check out the guide linked in the Description page or go to the Souls Modding Discord for help on your own modding journey.
6. Can I use this mod online?
No. No mods, not even simple recolors, can be used while online. You risk a ban otherwise.
7. I can't get the mod to work.
Please double check the Installation section in the Description page. I test every single color and variation and they all work on my end. The most common reason is usually failing to extract the files of the mod before installing.
8. Can this be used with Seamless Co-op and/or be seen on my co-op partner?
Yes! Please read the Modding Tips section of the Description page for how.
9. How did you make this?
My setup and the tools I used for this mod are listed at the bottom of the Description page.
I placed the "hd_m_2010.partsbnd.bdx" file within the "parts" folder of the "mod" folder for ModEngine 2.0 and the game crashes when I attempt to equip the helmet. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
I do indeed have ray-tracing turned on, but only this modded texture seems to crash the game.
For context, I have the "Sky and Clouds", "Armor and Weapons 2K", "Characters 2K", and "Environment 2K", and "Environment Shared" texture files downloaded from the Texture Improvement Mod and the game runs fine with ray-tracing turned on.
If I replace this mod with the "Armor and Weapons 2K" equivalent, the game no longer crashes so it's something intrinsic to this mod's texture/mesh in particular and not modded textures in general.
You need to turn Ray Tracing off. It's probably because this mod edits the model of the helmet, whereas Texture Improvement does not touch any models in the game, only textures. I use a lot of mods that edit models so turning Ray Tracing off was a no-brainer for me. I can't really "fix" it either because then this mod wouldn't exist, as it needs the model edited. The only "fix" would be how Ray Tracing is implemented into the game and how it interacts with mods, or someone smarter than me can change the modding tools we use.
I can't believe I missed the GIGANTIC **Disclaimers! Please Read!** in the very center of your mod description that states that ray tracing must be turned off. What a dumb move on my part.
Maybe one day mods that edit the models in the game can become compatible with ray tracing!
In either event, thanks for your help! Your mods looks great! :) Keep up the great work!
I’d love for them to be compatible, too! There’s a new tool that’s being actively worked on that modders of FromSoft games use for model editing, as the old one hasn’t been updated in years. Using either one, though, causes the Ray Tracing crash. Idk if the new tool could ever get around it, but that’s a job for the tool’s developer.
And to be fair, I added that bit about Ray Tracing to the disclaimers after your report, so you didn’t miss it. It slipped my mind since I can’t use Ray Tracing anyway lol
When I use the mod my wife can't see it. We are using seamless coop and we all see each other the normal way instead of with visor down. If she wear it she see it down but I don't see it down on her same for the others is there a way to fix that ?
Please go to the Description page and read the section “Modding Tips”. It’s specifically about this. You’d both need to do that method to see it on each other.
If you have any other armor mods, you can apply the same method to see each other’s respective mods.
Hey! Awesome work as always- just a quick question, is this compatible with your other Radahn armor recolors? I'm assuming not, but just wanted to double check, as I'm still pretty new to this stuff.
EDIT: wait im an idiot i just re-read the desc for your radahn mod. im so sorry to bother you alosduajo;sdujao;ds
I didn’t either until my current playthrough. I equipped the armor and was curious if I could cover our character’s face, when I noticed the rivets on either side. That indicates to me that it could be “moved”, so to speak.
