For all the people like me who have no idea how most of this works, just import the edited regulation.bin into the regulation.bin from the current game version (1.03.3)

just open a copy of the official game regulation.bin in Yapped (make sure you backup your unedited regulation.bin) go to NPC Param, press CTRL + F and search for Melina (her ID is 2180900) and duplicate the row, and set the ID as 21809001 (you can label it anything, but Ill just go with 21809001)
(side note: you can change her HP FP values, etc. on the right side column)
Next, go to BuddyParam and find the row of the summoning ash you want to set as Melina (Mimic doesn't work) Using Spirit Jellyfish as an example (row 23600000) and change the NPC Param to to your custom ID (21809001) Next, change NPC Think Param ID to 21800000 (Melina's original summoning AI) Save and replace the regulation.bin in the Game folder
Hey, Thanks for the explanation! Sadly I can not change the mod for the newest version of the game right now (couldn't bring the computer with me to the new place I'm staying).
One thing to add: if you duplicate the row 2180900 change Melina Team Type to Ally or Spirit Summon (on the right side column) otherwise when you summon her she will attack you.

Hey, can I know where exactly I need to change for the Team Type as I am not able to find any team type in the right side column for Melina, so whenever I am summoning her she is attacking me, what is the field name that I need to change? Thanks for the help!
I just had the same thing, I'm assuming we've copied the ID version of Melina where she's our enemy. I'm going to try a few of the other ID's now and come back if I figure it out :)
Edit: Figured it out! After you click on Melina and duplicate the row in NPCParam, click on the newly made NPC and go to the right side panel, change its "Team Type" to "47 Spirit Summon". It might just be named "47 - Unknown" but it should still make the NPC act like a spirit summon. Hope this sorts it for you!
Hello, I am trying to summon Sellen, but having trouble. I followed your advice, and I got Melina to spawn perfectly, but when I follow the same steps, I cannot summon Sellen. I even input the data points into the spirit jelly summon. I am unsure of if I am putting in the correct NPC Param ID.
So I can't add BuddyParam because that doesn't exist. I have the carian combo warriors mod so I need to be able to merge them but to do that I need to be able to extract and import the csv files from the jelly reg.bin
if it doesn't exist your buddyparam is corrupt, likely due to it being edited in yapped before patch 1.08 which changed some things in buddyparam, dsmapstudio cannot read it due to incorrect value amount.
your mod is one of my favorites, could you make the one that replaces the jellyfish for version 1.06 since I stayed in 1.04.2 just for that so that it works for me
make sure to launch your game with no mods in the new version before adding the modded regulation file, otherwise it will give you save corrupted error
I don't know how to specifically edit her damage, but I know how to edit the damage multiplier from the summons that will affect her (and the other summons as well), you have to do the following: In Yapped, go to SpEffectParam and edit from row 290000 to 290010, being 290000 the params from a +0 summon and 290010 the params from the +10 summon. The fields you have to edit are called "Damage %: Type of Damage", so if you want Melina to do x2.5 more holy damage when she is maxed you have to go to row 290010 and edit the value of "Damage %: Holy" to "2.5" If you don't want percentage increases but add exact damage values then edit "Damage +: Type of Damage" fields instead of the % ones.
