Sorry for the delayed response to the game's current update, but we're back!

Reine des Diamant's Swordspear has been updated to Elden Ring 1.07

New reduced file size version of the mod without the Menu (Icon) folder has been added.

We did add an extra folder aside from the main mod folder that contains the icon images of this weapon in case you guys did still want to merge it into your personal mods.

Fantastic mod. The only issue I've run into is that the custom combos can sometimes lead to you doing a different attack than you intended, which is why I've never really liked that type of system.

For example: The normal charged heavy is very powerful, and there will be situations where you'll want to do that attack within a tight window of opportunity. However, if you try to do this following a light attack, even if you take a moment to pause in between, you'll end up doing the three pokes instead and your damage suffers as a result.

For that reason, as cool as the custom combos are, I just don't know if they're practical for a game like this where you need to know exactly what will happen every time you press a button.

Yes, this maybe a feature we'll be removing in the large scale mod as it wont be a feature consistent across the board between our weapons

Is the whole thing working? I tried it a few months ago, but at the time the AoW and at least one of its standard moves wasn't working.

Hmm,I just checked actually. The two handed R2s aren't coming out correctly - it does the bloodtax ash of war instead. So appears that it does need updating.

Very nice mod. Where a lot of weapon mods tend to either be too weak or too powerful, this one falls right where you would want it. It's flashy and strong but also well balanced, meaning you can use it without negatively impacting your experience. It honestly fits right in. I hope it gets updated soon, because right now the AoW and at least one of the standard moves doesn't work. Somehow, it's still enjoyable even when malfunctioning.

Great looking weapon and I'm not trying to downplay it at all, but I have to say that the handle portion is too thick for my taste...would you consider making a model that's thinner? Also maybe a version with black leather wrappings instead of red? I'm only asking because I like this weapon that much, otherwise I wouldn't even bat an eye at this mod. Great work.

FFS...imagine now everyone nitpicks about tiny little aesthetic details that they personally don't like, how many 100s of versions of the mod must mod authors make to accommodate everyone's peculiar taste. Maybe it would be preferable if you were not to bat an eye at this mod then, oh imagine the horror! AMModder86 not downloading this mod!

Thanks for the amazing work! Do I have to merge this mod with your other weapon mods since they all use one regulation.bin?

Special thanks for mentioning all the IDs of things you've modified. Very easy to merge after you did it at least once.
    Very humane (:

    You're amazing, guys.

There is 1 minor oddity. The weapon can still be buffed but all buffs are removed/overwritten by various attacks of the weapon (1H 2nd Light attack removes buffs, 2H 3rd Light Attack removes buffs, etc). Looks like those attacks apply momentary buffs of their own that overwrite any weapon buff or vow.

Sensible moveset. Beautiful animation blending & effects. No silly anime, zip-around-the-arena-like-a-final-boss attacks. Reasonably balanced stats and damage.

This mod rules. I don't know how I missed this when it first released, but this is now may favorite mod. Spears and polearms definitely don't get enough love within the modding community. Yes, the Ash of War isn't very flashy, but does it need to be when it's good? Nah.

    Another note for those merging:
In v1.1 regulation.bin, I believe the author's description is off for SpEffectParam (like perhaps the list is from a previous version of the mod?).  Specifically, I noticed that only the following SpEffectParam param ids had been changed in this mod from 1.07.1: 1681,1683,1811,1813

The other regulation.bin changes matched what was listed in the author's description.

Hope this helps others to enjoy this mod! :)

I was looking to merge this and noticed zero differences from vanilla 1.07.1 in the tae’s that should be different in c0000.

So I tried running Elden Ring with only this mod, and didn’t see any animation changes.

I think the uploaded files accidentally include some vanilla vs. modded files. Regulation.bin is new.

In case it makes a difference, I downloaded the No Menu version.

Okay, did various diffs between v1, v1.1 (full 1.2GB), and v1.1 (no menu) downloads.

c0000 in v1.1 (no menu) doesn’t have the animations.  c0000 in the others seem to.  Since a single tae has changed from v1 to v1.1 (full 1.2GB), I copied the c0000 from v1.1 (full 1.2GB) into v1.1 (no menu), and my updated v1.1 (no menu) now seems to work properly.  I say seems to as I only tried it for 2 minutes, but I now see the new moveset and animations.

      Hope that helps folks!
