    FAQ

    1. Can you remove X part of the armor or do color Y?

No. I will no longer be taking requests for new colors or modifications to the models. I have too many mods now and don't want to add unnecessarily to my workload.

    2. Will you do 2K or Vanilla versions?

No. The methods I use to make my mods take a long time. I'm someone who is methodical and doesn't like to put less than 100% into my mods. Cutting out 2K/Vanilla versions saves MANY hours of work and a lot of hard drive space. It literally halves the amount I need to do. If it is truly an issue, you are free to downscale the textures in whatever way you see fit, but for personal use only. I do not allow the re-uploading of my mods.

    3. Can you upscale something to 2K/4K for me with Gigapixel AI?

No. If you're looking for vanilla textures to be upscaled, then please go to the Texture Improvement mod. It's what originally inspired me to get Gigapixel AI and make my mods just as stunning. They have 2K and 4K versions of the Environment, Characters, Armor and Weapons. It's linked in the Description page.

    4. Will you be doing weapons?

I currently have no plans to start in on weapons. Personally, it doesn't bother me if weapons do not match the armors. If it did, I promise you I would have already done them. Never say never, though!

    5. Can you recolor/remodel *insert armor set here*?

I'll always hear your suggestions, but I can't appease everyone. I wrote the Recolor Guide and Tutorial for this specific instance. My designs and tastes are not for everyone, and I know I won't be doing all armor sets/pieces because I have to have a certain passion for what I'm creating. Please check out the guide linked in the Description page or go to the Souls Modding Discord for help on your own modding journey.

    6. Can I use this mod online?

No. No mods, not even simple recolors, can be used while online. You risk a ban otherwise.

    7. I can't get the mod to work.

Please double check the Installation section in the Description page. I test every single color and variation and they all work on my end. The most common reason is usually failing to extract the files of the mod before installing.

    8. Can this be used with Seamless Co-op and/or be seen on my co-op partner?

Yes! Please read the Modding Tips section of the Description page for how.

    9. How did you make this?

My setup and the tools I used for this mod are listed at the bottom of the Description page.

darkening the majority of the cloth just makes the set look less detailed and less interesting. Why not have a variant where you only mess with the metals?

My personal tastes don’t appeal to everyone. You’re more than welcome to recolor/redesign the armor the way you like, it’s why I wrote a recolor guide. You can also check out the Souls Modding Discord for more guides/tips.

I’m not quite sure what you mean? If you want the vanilla colors back, you just have to delete the DCX files downloaded from this mod.

Raging Wolf set has been one of my favorite armors so seeing the black and silver made it even better. Thanks for the retexture Honor Knight!

Hello sir, is there a way I can modify the files where the set shows up on my cooperative partner? I notice the set is the vanilla for her and I had the splendid Idea of putting the gold set for her and vice versa on her game. I believe it might have something to do with modifying the end of the files by adding a letter or two but the forums I saw this info on seem to be quite gone.

thanks for the help if you get to it.

Ma'am, if you please. If I had to guess, I think you'd need to change the armor used by NPCs. The armor worn by the player and NPCs are considered two different sets. For example, with Raging Wolf, the chest piece for the player is bd_m_1350.partsbnd. For NPCs, it's bd_m_1350_l.parts.bnd. You can see it has an added lowercase "L". I don't play online or with coop, but the game may consider a coop partner an NPC since they aren't the player but use armor sets the player can acquire.

Long story short, create copies of the DCX files and add "_l" to each:

      am_m_1350_l.partsbnd
      bd_m_1350_l.partsbnd
      bd_m_1351_l.partsbnd
      hd_m_1350_l.partsbnd
      lg_m_1350_l.partsbnd

This is also how you can get the Mimic Tear to reflect your modded armor. I did this with the Tree Sentinel Set, and now the Mimic Tear matches properly. Before, it was in the vanilla colors.

Whoops, sorry! I was just gently correcting you, as I am indeed a lady. If you want yourself silver and your partner gold, then install the silver one normally and then the gold for her but add the lowercase L to that one. I’d rename it beforehand so you don’t accidentally overwrite your silver. Then vise-versa on her end.

Awesome mod (and all versions for other armor)! My favorite recolor so far. But I wonder if it possible to add crucible armor-like version of color in the future? That dark orangy gold version with those cool a bit blue rainbow-like highlights (idk how to explain it correctly, basicaly color scheme of crucible set + that little special highlight effect it has). It would be just incredible

That would be doable, but I can’t do it right now. I’m a bit brain dead from my most recent round of updates lol the vanilla Crucible armor is pretty carefully colored, and that blueish highlight is actually the color of it rather than a lighting effect. I like the idea of it, it’d just take more time than straight silver or gold.

If it's no trouble, would you mind a silver/grey variant?

I want to do more for Raging Wolf anyway so I'll keep this in mind. I'm currently doing major updates for my mods, which finally has belts and such matching the recolors and stops Torrent Recolors from affecting other textures.

Great update. The belt on the Raging 10/10 matches now.

Thanks! It was a slog for sure, though. I’m not positive I would’ve figured it out on my own without help. I could’ve recolored the belts before but it would’ve effected everything in the game that uses them. ZLOHORT here on Nexus showed me how to edit the model and circumvent that.
