Heya!! I have a simple suggestion, because I'd like to be switching mods a lot, could you make it so when you close the game it makes an auto quick save? Basically like that when I close the game it just auto backsup and I can just load the modded save file without worrying like omg did I backup before Iloadded the mod one and if I did how long ago was the last auto save o.o
Autosave feature doesn't work for me. I enable it to save 6 files, one every 10 minutes. The timer counts down, but no save is generated. The profile saves work flawlessly. I'm on Win 10.
Is there anything I can do to TS this issue?
EDIT: Got on the discord listed further down on this thread and the mod developer jumped on and helped me fix the problem, which prompted an update. Thanks Johnnym93 for the wonderful support, and the excellent save manager and autobackup!
There's an issue when people have multiple steam account folders in their AppData\Roaming\EldenRing directory. It puts saves in the wrong account folder when loading backups, choosing to "restore" backups the highest numbered folder rather than the folder named after the profile I saved the backups under.
I cooked something up, could you help me out testing if it works? I don't have two accounts with Elden Ring myself, if so, join the discord and shoot me a message ^^
It would be a lot of work to change that at this stage tbh, I'm gonna have to clean up the code at some point and I'll add more settings in a txt at the same time incl. backup paths.. Don't expect it very soon though. ^^
I'm thinking about adding a option to auto-save every 5 min or so which would be backed up under a autosaves profle. Since the backups are about 30mb each i'm thinking it'd keep the last 30 min stored and delete the oldest one every time it auto-saves after that.
What do you guys think? I feel like the UI is getting a bit crowded as is
Hope you decide to add that functionality as it's exactly my use case. When playing online it's possible to come across script kiddies & hackers who will put you into an infinite death loop, so having an auto backup would counter that. Thanks for the tool in any case.
I did use files with those auto save features..tbh there is no need...I only use yours..simple and easy.. you know why? because auto saves does not let you put names...so you get a bunch of auto files and look for where the hell in game it saved
I'm not sure how i would let you name every autosave, it would require you to get out of game every 5 min to name it. If you'd do that you could very well just hit the backup button ^^' I could add a feature to bring an autosave to another profile, letting you name it and choose profile/name though. That way if something major happens in-game you could just take the autosave 5 min back and save it to a profile.. Hmm
