Important: The armor mod which this texture edit is based on isn't updated for the SOTE DLC, so I suggest not using the "Material" folder and its content which may crash the game because of the missing materials data for the new armor sets introduced in the DLC.
PS: If you have acquired the Mimic Tear Ashes and you want it to look exactly like you, make a copy of the parts files and add _l right after the number of the part, for example "bd_m_1310.partsbnd.dcx" becomes "bd_m_1310_l.partsbnd.dcx"
It's not a bug, it's due to how the original armor that it replaces hides the body parts, I chose the Royal remains due to how early you can get it, the special effect it has and the matching esthetics, otherwise the Black knife set would be a perfect choice if it wasn't for the fact that it's an end game set, you can rename the parts numbers to replace it if you would like to.
I can't seem to be able to get the optional files working. I followed the instructions and placed the files in the parts folder (and I can confirm the armor works otherwise), but it seems identical to the normal variant (despite only putting in the optional variants). Any solution?
Probably, but I still don't understand why people still use UXM, with mod engine 2 it's just a drag & drop, no files to overwrite, no unpacking required.
I was wondering if I could get the face to show instead of the black blank face. So I edited the helm in yapped to show the face parts. It almost works flawlessly. The only thing that clips is the eyes. So you person ends up looking like they have some poorly rendered sunglasses. It would be totally awesome if there was a version that didn't have the black face at all. As an optional part. It is soooo very close to working perfectly. It would tip this set into another level IMO.
Unfortunately, I'm not a modder per say, all I did was dragging and renaming files, at first, I made these mods(dark armor and the black / gold retexture) for my personal use, and then I was like: why not share them with the community? I contacted each original author of these mods to obtain their permission, they were very cool with it by the way, and posted them here on Nexus, and here we are.
If by low res you mean the same size as the original textures, then yeah, Pic taken in 1080p max setting with reshade. This is just a port, I'm neither an artist nor a modder. Unfortunately, the original textures looked too dark to distinguish it from my Dark retexture mod, so I permutated the surface and the specular textures to make it look brighter. Honestly, in the lighting department, Dark souls 3 is way better, just check this mod for Dark souls 3, Same files, still looks way better. I'm uploading this mod to Dark Souls 3 by the way since the only existing version there uses iGP11, so I'm making it with mod engine.

Still, thanks for the mod. It does rock.
I just got a chance to try it out. I did change it to the royal helm and unhide the face parts in yapped. Worked perfectly. Thanks.
edit: wow that picture is really big.
