Does this still work in the latest game version? I think I installed it right, but I haven't been able to parry once after about 30 minutes of testing.
Am I seeing it wrong or do we keep the light attack, but now it not only attacks but also parries?
Can we make this behavior universal? Any weapon in the game doing that? Id like to be able to parry and use the weapon's skills at the same time, for every weapon in the game. Is it possible for me to change something in your mod to achieve that?
Just understood better what it does. Thats entirely personal taste but I'd like it better if the parry active frames happens during the first frames of the move, when he begins reaching the sword's hilt while it is still sheathed. If the enemy´s move hits you during that X frames (id suggest the same amount of frames than the regular buckler)... parry. And thats it. Id also suggest to add that to every weapon in the game if its something that isnt time demanding (if its something like "may all the special attacks have parry properties from frame 0-6" or so), for who likes the game as it is but miss the possibility to parry the s#*! out of stuff for fun on a blink, in the middle of a fight when you see dude is about to land a hit on you in the middle of "your turn", things like that.
Hey man, I was messing around and I managed to double the i-frames you had for this awesome mod. Not sure if I don't understand DSAnimStudio or something, but it looks like you had only 5 parry frames for the animation. I changed that to 10, and I this feels a lot more fair. Previously I could only every land 1 in 100 parries with this mod, now it's about 50/50. When I miss, it feels deserved, but when I land it, I'm a parry goddess. Can I get your permission to upload this version of the mod?
I also have a modded regulation bin that has increased resistances for the guard animation, which makes guard counters more viable. The combination of your mod and that file gives so much more dexterity and flow to katana combat. Great work!

If you want a slightly different version (without my animation swaps) the original mod I used is Samurai's Dream by Syyyke, good mod.
Your mod is awesome. I feel like playing DS3 again. In the mod "Voidwalker Meteoric Ore Blade" by clevererraptor6, the unsheathe animation also activates the parry without sacrificing both R1 and R2 attacks. That also makes the Moonveil parriable because they share the same animation. Hope you can implement this into your mod in your free time. Good day to you.
I could definitely overwrite one of the attacks with the parry, would take like 10 seconds. I could do what cleverraptor did as well, he just modified the stance -> neutral animation (releasing L2), but this mod was a request and that wasn't what was asked for. If you want a version that replaces one of those I could do it very easily though
Stance exit my friend, for both Moonveil and Unsheathe so i can use both R1, R2 attacks. The i-frame is the same as the buckle parry is enough. Oh, please note that there is a short delay after the sheathing animation so i hope you can do something about it so that after sheathing, if you release the button, the parrying animation will start immediately. This is useful with some bosses whose attacks are fast. The same concept could be apply to the Square Off AOW so i'm also looking forward to it in the future.
I haven't yet no, forgot about it and haven't played the game in a while. The game updated though so I'll have to go through all my mods and update them soon here anyways.
