1. Can you remove X part of the armor or do color Y?
No. I will no longer be taking requests for new colors or modifications to the models. I have too many mods now and don't want to add unnecessarily to my workload.
2. Will you do 2K or Vanilla versions?
No. The methods I use to make my mods take a long time. I'm someone who is methodical and doesn't like to put less than 100% into my mods. Cutting out 2K/Vanilla versions saves MANY hours of work and a lot of hard drive space. It literally halves the amount I need to do. If it is truly an issue, you are free to downscale the textures in whatever way you see fit, but for personal use only. I do not allow the re-uploading of my mods.
3. Can you upscale something to 2K/4K for me with Gigapixel AI?
No. If you're looking for vanilla textures to be upscaled, then please go to the Texture Improvement mod. It's what originally inspired me to get Gigapixel AI and make my mods just as stunning. They have 2K and 4K versions of the Environment, Characters, Armor and Weapons. It's linked in the Description page.
4. Will you be doing weapons?
I currently have no plans to start in on weapons. Personally, it doesn't bother me if weapons do not match the armors. If it did, I promise you I would have already done them. Never say never, though!
5. Can you recolor/remodel *insert armor set here*?
I'll always hear your suggestions, but I can't appease everyone. I wrote the Recolor Guide and Tutorial for this specific instance. My designs and tastes are not for everyone, and I know I won't be doing all armor sets/pieces because I have to have a certain passion for what I'm creating. Please check out the guide linked in the Description page or go to the Souls Modding Discord for help on your own modding journey.
6. Can I use this mod online?
No. No mods, not even simple recolors, can be used while online. You risk a ban otherwise.
7. I can't get the mod to work.
Please double check the Installation section in the Description page. I test every single color and variation and they all work on my end. The most common reason is usually failing to extract the files of the mod before installing.
8. Can this be used with Seamless Co-op and/or be seen on my co-op partner?
Yes! Please read the Modding Tips section of the Description page for how.
9. How did you make this?
My setup and the tools I used for this mod are listed at the bottom of the Description page.
Game works perfectly fine with other mods on. If I try launching game without Malenia Chest armor it is okay, I equip Chest and game just crashes without errors, if I launch it with full set it just crashes on loading screen. Checked other mods one by one, was like few hours, to see what complicates with it but none was the issue, even tried on clean version and still the same problem, anyone any ideas?
Are you using one of the gold options? The color changes are less obvious as I didn’t touch the gold. It’s still working as intended since you said the cape changes.
Can you describe what the issue is, exactly? You're saying the dress isn't gray? That would be impossible because the cape and dress use the same texture file, and you said the cape does work.
The recolors are fantastic! But the thing that kind of bugs me about is the hair, I kinda don't feel like red hair would fit in with all the armors, would be cool if the hair would change color to fit the armor color scheme. Either way it really is fantastic!
When I started this, I actually did have the hair match. But trust me, it didn’t really look good. I only tested it with black, but I have a feeling that blue or purple hair wouldn’t look good either.
That’s just personal preference, though. If it’s something you want to change, you’re free to look at my recolor guide to do it yourself for personal use, as the hair for the armor would be very easy to change once you know what to do. It’s a separate texture from the helmet.
Beast champion? It’s not really a set I use so I’m not sure I’ll do a recolor for it. As I’ve said before you’re welcome to look at my recolor guide to do it yourself.
Love the black and gold! Just in case you were ever thinking of doing other colors would also love a white/gold dress with navy cape or a navy and gold dress (hope I'm not coming off as rude by mentioning it). Thank you for this mod.
Not rude at all! I'm not playing Elden Ring atm, but I know I'll return to it soon. I was actually thinking of doing White/Gold since they're the colors of the Haligtree, but the cape was being very annoying about it lol that was before I knew what format the textures needed to be saved in, so going at it again it will likely come out better. Blue/Gold or Blue/Silver would also be nice, I'll definitely keep it in mind :)
Oh lovely to hear. Hope you're enjoying your current games and looking forward to anything you may be posting, also just wanted to throw in a thanks for your tutorials!
Thank you! I wanted to do white for the longest time, especially with gold since those are the Haligtree colors. The material made the white look beige, but now that that's been solved, we can have a white cape.
I can't tell if this is true for every version but the purple cape has a very noticeable seam in the texture starting at shoulder. It's a different color.
Yeah, I know. It’s because the cape material had to be changed in order for the Haligtree symbol on it to be recolored. If you look closely, you can see that the hood is a different material than the cape, now. Since changing them to another material, the exact shade of purple won't end up looking the same in-game. So I had two choices: keep the cape material that leaves the symbol incapable of recoloring, or change the material to allow for a custom symbol that I can adjust the size and color of.
I can't right this moment, but perhaps in the future I'll change the hood/shoulder so it matches.
