Any chance of making a variant of the Raging Wolf Helm that also removes all that lower part, the chain mail? Would be cool to wear that and be able to see my guy's beard.
Malenia's hair is still there, probably cause I just copied the values from your regulation.bin and used UXM to patch files from another mod rewriting yours, kinda sucks being not be able to use Mod Engine 2
Personally, what really solved the problem after spending hours trying to make it work, was USING THE ORIGINAL regulation.bin file from your game files, and modifying it with Yapped according to directions in this mod description (changing Masks and all that). IMO dont copy regulation.bin files from mod archives, as probably it will be incompatible with your version of the game and wont work.
For Elden Lord Crown I found the best params is to change Masks 61, 63, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69 to 0. For Malenia Helm, I would say Mask 62 is the best to change to 0, as other Masks are pretty excessive for many hairstyles, and the hair in front will be clipping through the helm. Really depends on hairstyles, but looks like most of the longer hairstyles will clip with the helm, unfortunately. So either go with one of the shorter ones, or just revert back to vanilla.
Just for reference, I am using a cracked 1.07 version of the game and several things to note: -- some mods (e.g. graphic enhancements) do not require Modengine/UXM whatever to work, mods like Reshade, will work with simply unzipping. -- for mods that only change files/animations (e.g. the Roll replaced with Quickstep mod), using ModEngine 2 will do. Just put the files into the "mod" folder, launch the game via launchmod_eldenring or modengine2_launcher and it will work. Despite I have cracked game, I never needed to use UXM, Modengine works just fine. -- for more 'advanced' mods like this one, also update your original regulation file with Yapped Runebear.
I am new to modding Elden Ring, so all above is just my notes about my experience to make this mod work. Hopefully that helps someone. Also, if you are more experienced, I imagine it is also possible to successfully merge regulation files / import CSV to make more complex mods work.
yeah, I can only get vanilla hair (garbage Fromsoft, cmon) or totally bald. I even tried another mod that adds a non clipping long braid, but while the hair displays fine, as soon as I put on the helm, bald. Not worth my time anymore, trying to fix dev failures. Rad mod for anyone that it works for though.
I installed the individual file for malenia's helmet in my me2 folder, but for some reason my character goes bald when I put on the helmet? are certain hairstyles just incompatible? or is there some other thing I'm missing
Would a retex of some of these helmets overwrite the changes of this mod? Meaning, do they modify the same file? I seem to notice that some retex modify the same files as model mods.
Oh and can you tell me which file modifies the Zamor mask? I want to remove it, as I like the Zamor mask just fine the way it is.
Yeah sadly this uses the same file as a retex. It wouldn't be hard to merge though wit the right know-how. Zamor mask is file name hd_m_2260.partsbnd.dcx, and you can also check which model is which in my optional "individual files" download.
This is a much needed mod! Two questions. am I at risk of being banned if I play online with it? Does it work if I just replace my regulation.bin with this one?

- (Malenia's Helm) In row 770000, change Masks 62, 66, 67, 69 to 0
However, the hair is still showing on the helm. Is there perhaps an additional setting that needs to be changed?UPDATE: I downloaded and installed the corresponding .dcx file and installed into ME2 and now my male character is completely bald under the helm.
