This mod multiplies the armor you get from dropped armor crates, just like AsGAlligator's mod for EDF5. The higher the factor, the more armor you will have. 'Nuff said.
However, armor in the game works a bit differently from what you may imagine. Your character holds an invisible inventory, containing all the armor crates you've ever picked. That number of crates is then multiplied by each of the classes' specific growth rate. This is what the mod is affecting: you are not picking up more ammo crates, but rather making each crate worth more.
This carries an unexpected positive effect: once you uninstall the mod, your armor will return to its real value in the vanilla game. So you cannot ruin your save, and once you are done experimenting, you will be able to return playing normally, with no drawbacks.
INSTALLATION
To install the mod, extract its archive in the EDF6 folder: "Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Earth Defence Force 6" When installed correctly, the installation folder should look like in the screenshot below.
