I followed the instructions but it doesn't seem to work on linux. Does anyone have thoughts, ideas, or solutions to having a feature like this mod for users on Linux?
Here's what another Linux user did. He took the instructions to get the mod working on the Steam Deck:
Steam Deck In Desktop mode, go to the game library page, properties, general tab. In there there is a launch options with a text field below. Input this in there:WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm.dll=n,b" %command%
And he added:
When I tried it with the quotes it didn't work, then I tried it without the quotes and it did; it was either that or forcing it to run on Proton Experimental that solved the problem on my end
The commands worked for me, I run ProtonGE7-55 as well, experimental on my build crashes on load for the game. Quotes did not matter. However it does not load in multiplayer lobbies.
Multiplayer requires everyone to have the mod installed, so you can't join a random vanilla player (and neither can they). However, it was only tested in windows.
Thank you for making a variant for my mod: Mythic Difficulty. I am honored. I tried your mod combined with my mod after deciding to replay the game from scratch but modded and yours worked as intended.
There should be no problems. I just checked the mission and it completed normally. To investigate further, try reinstalling and double check that your equipment doesn't have an "Empty" support items.
1. Did this happen in single player? If not, the issue might rest with the other online players. 2. Is the crash repeatable? As to say, would it always happen if you replayed the mission real fast on Easy, using your strongest weapons. 3. Does it happen with all classes? That's when those "Empty" support items might come into play.
Playing around with a few other mods. Right now, I don't actually have this one, but I was wondering, does your mod change the collection limit or on-screen limit? If so, I was curious as to how?
You can find the settings for the pickup limits in \Mods\Patches\ChangePickupLimits.txt. They are currently set to be 1000 times the original values: which in practice means they're infinite, so you can keep playing without worrying about crates no longer spawning.
I have a question. I recently joined a random edf lobby where at the end of the mission all loot was just picked up. I have not modded edf myself, yet I was able to join and play with these people. Is it possible to play online with people who don't have lootmaster installed? Or do you think it was another mod entirely?
That lobby must have been using a trainer or Cheat Engine, both softwares which can enable various cheats. Had they been using Lootmaster, you couldn't have connected to their game: as it's required for everyone to have the same mods, to play together.
On one hand, cheat software is more practical because it lacks this requirement. On the other, it's a risk because you never know if the host is also using invincibility, or is gonna unlock all weapons for everyone in the match.

Upon getting to the end it simply crashes to desktop. It's the only mod i have on currently.
