    So how do you "activate" this mod?...I'm used to downloading mods straight to the Vortex system, and have not done one where you have to manually download it......

      To install the mod, extract its archive in the EDF5 folder: Steam\SteamApps\Common\EarthDefenceForce5
      After installing, the game's folder should look like in the screenshot below:

      Thanks, so do I copy and paste the mod into the EDF 5 folder, and then use the "Extract All" function?....I don't see an "archive"

      By "archive" I meant a file that contains other files, typically their names end with ".zip" or ".7z". After you extract the file, make sure that the contents of the \mods\ folder are as shown so there's no mistakes.

      Thanks very much, appreciate you helping me with this....maybe I'm just clueless, but I don't see any files that end in ".zip" or "7z"

      The file you downloaded from this site should be called "No Online Limits mod (EDF5).7z", plus some random numbers at the end. Here's a mirror in .zip format:

      Thanks again for your assistance...I think I did it properly, and the folder appears as you listed, but its not working....Maybe I'm still not doing something right....ahh well. Thanks again though!

      After installing properly, you need to beat any mission online and the option will become available.

    Does this not work anymore? I extracted the contents into the EDF folder, but I am still unable to use the limit settings.

      You need to beat any online mission, after installing the mod: try completing the first one on Easy.

    When I complete a level, I can't find where to unlock weapon/armor limits

      It's in Online > Create a Room > Room Settings.

    So when I complete a level, do all the levels get the Weapon/Armor limit turned off or just the one I completed?

      All levels get the option, which you can turn off and on at will.
