Hey really appreciate your work on this mod. I just wanted to ask how did you learn how to mod games. I'm looking to learn how to mod this game and it would really helpful if I knew where to start. Thanks man!
You are most welcome and thanks for your comment! I learned how to mod fifa a while ago now and it is actually very straight forward once you have downloaded a couple of things. https://www.fifaeditortool.com/download download both of these from the above link, Fifa Editor Tool and Fifa Mod Manager.
Run the Editor Tool, it asks you for an encryption key which you will be able to find by searching online, the key for old fifas works fine too so try fifa 22/23 encryption key.
When the program has read the game files it allows you to search through the files by typing in the bar what you are looking for.
In the case of making kits you'd type the name of the club who's kit you want to modify then open the folder for example: the address of the files to change Arsenal's home kit look like this - content/character/kit/kit_0/arsenal_1/home_0_0 and you can extract all the associated files for the kit by right clicking on the home_0_0 folder and choosing 'Batch Export' save them to a folder and then use a photoediting program to change the existing kits files, this is a much more time consuming method but neccessary for certain mods (I use GIMP2.0 its free) link here https://www.gimp.org/ then after saving your edited files over the ones you extracted you can using fifa editor tool, Import them back into the same place where you extracted them.
Next step is to go to 'file' in Fifa Editor Tool and choose Export to Mod, save the mod as it should be named according to what it does and then you can use Fifa Mod Manager to apply it to the game.
The other way to make kits especially is to go to https://fifakitcreator.com/ make a free account so you can save the kits you make there. Download the kits which come in a .zip or .rar file. Then using Fifa Editor Tool find the club you want to change the kit of, right click on the home_0_0, away_1_0, goalie_home_2_0 or third_3_0 and choose 'Batch Import' then use the file you downloaded from fifakitcreator.com go to 'file' and choose Export to Mod, save and apply it with FMM (Fifa Mod Manager) Have fun and dont forget to upload here so we can download your mods too! is it possible to mod the Southampton home shorts numbers....EA thinks they are red, but they are actually white. The keepers shorts are correct but not the field players.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_2IU9fRYPc I personally wouldnt use this cheat engine because it can get you banned although unlikely just for editing something cosmetic I dont want to risk it. Also I'm not sure I can put it in to a mod or if you'd have to do this manually if you want to.
When I first saw this, I was confused. But after I read more about this, I saw the true meaning of this kit. This kit should be in vanilla FC! NO MORE RED!
