You better post on the 10tons official discord server than here.

Why? Because NexusMods does not send you a browser notification, nor email, nor nothing when someone replies to your comment, not even for me, a mod author. Which means, if you do not religiously go on nexusmods every hour, you'll never gonna have an idea, that there is an ongoing discussion. And even if you do religiously go on nexusmods every day (which is a huge thing to ask from anyone, even from mod authors!), than the best you can do, is to have a conversation with a 1 full day delay on every message exchange. We are talking about paper mail speed here. Absolutely unacceptable. This makes most of the discussions here, dead after the first opening message, because i reply, but to no one to read, to the void - most of the time.

    Please use discord.

Hello. Is it possible to add a change in the position of the map on the screen? The fact is that in the mobile version of the game there is a virtual stick in the lower left corner of the screen for moving the character, and I would like to return the cards to the upper right corner.

Yes, it is. You can move around all UI elements by activating the developer mode.

The developer mode activated via the developer.xml file? How can I enable the ability to move interface elements?

The UI editor is built in to all 10tons games.

After Developer Mode is enabled, you can enter UI editor by pressing CONTROL-e. Pressing CONTROL-e exits the mode.

Pressing CONTROL-t trims the screen size to the white rectangle size.

Pressing CONTROL-r toggles the resize mode. When enabled, you can resize the white borders.

Click to select an UI component. Drag it around holding down CONTROL. Right click to show component properties.

Pressing 's' in edit mode saves the UI. Note that if .pak versions of folders are used, it will save the file in regular folder structure, but in case the same file is found in the .pak, it will use that instead of your external file as .pak files have search priority.

Holding down F1 will show some more keys and instructions.

The developer mode is good. But on a mobile phone there is no way to press the keyboard buttons. And as a result, the card is constantly pressed when moving.

Oh! It's Android! It uses a different ui for the main screen, you can read about it here: https://dysmantle.fandom.com/wiki/Modding#State_of_Android

Discord will not work for me (no text channels), so I'm posting here.
    addon_packages="mod-qualityof-life-v27,mod-bigger-backpack-v26,mod-delay-traps-v20,mod-infinite-deer-v26,mod-longer-sleep-v26,mod-mana-builder-v27,mod-ocpd-minimap-v20,mod-thinnerbushes-v27"

Also I answered my own question looking at my mistake, make sure you spell the pak filenames correctly and don't forget the dash. Originally I was going to ask why my quality of life mod wasn't showing up under options I soon realized I had spelled it right but forgot a dash, so my brain didn't register while making the file.

A lot of these mods are old or obsolete and deleted, and are incompatible and will not be fixed. Please update

    Heya!

I'm having problems using the mod/mods.. I followed the guide in the readme.txt, but every time I launch the game it simply stops responding.
I tried adding all the mods in the zip file to the "packages" string of the xml file. I tried a couple of variation since I wasn't sure if the string was correct, but nothing works.

One thing I'm not sure of is this part of the guide:

    • ALWAYS add the mods to the very end of this list unless the mod developer tells you otherwise. This is because the order in which files are loaded is important.

Does that mean I need to type in the name of packages in the right order for the prog.xml to load them in the right order? If so, I couldn't find any info about it elsewhere..

Anyhow, here's the string I ended up with. Also not that I tried a variation with all the .pak files included in the zip file and got the same result.

    packages="data-windows,mod-bigger-backpack-v26,mod-delay-traps-v20,mod-far-melee-v26,mod-infinite-deer-v26,mod-longer-sleep-v26,mod-mana-builder-v27,mod-more-item-slots-v27,mod-ocpd-minimap-v20,mod-quality-of-life-v27,mod-thinner-bushes-v27"
EDIT: I also tried using "mod-quality-of-life-v27" by itself, same result.

Any help would be much appriciated!

    Thanks :)

Hi! What you have here, in the packages list, looks good, the my mods will alert you in-game when you need to switch the order. But you're right, it would be easier to first try to make the game run with just one mod. Try an other mod, not the one you tried by itself, or try a mod from an other author (only try mods published after 2023!!). So, please move everything out of the game directory, reset vanilla state. After that, are you sure, the only difference when the game runs and when it stops responding, is the one mod you added in packages list (no other lines in prog.xml modified, even not added new empty lines, no empty new lines at the beginning of prog.xml, no spaces added anywhere) and the 1 mod .pak file moved into the game directory? Also, you can take a look at the log file in the save directory at %AppData%\10tons\DYSMANTLE\logs\

IDK if asked before, so idk if possible, but could you implement a 'use resources from storage' for things like repairing bridges, activating wells, etc (Like how it works with rifts, u do not need the mana shard things in your inventory to activate them)

Apologize if it's not doable or if asked before. So far very much appreciate the mod(A little about it is slight overpowered, but for most part, many of the things added should have been in base game)

I made a mod like that, it was here: https://www.nexusmods.com/dysmantle/mods/42 , but after publishing, i started playing a new game, and while using the mod on the first terminals, it bugged out my save file, so i removed the mod fast, only 8 people downloaded it. I wanted to fix the mod, but other things came up, i focused on other mods, then v1.3 update came up, etc, and this mod just kept getting lower on my trello board. Then a few days ago, i revised my trello, and realized, the mod is unnnecessary, because you could just build a storage box next to the object, and take out the materials fast, and remove the box. You don't even need to build a platform for the box with my Mana builder's kit mod. So i deleted all the files from my disk, it is no more.

But if you have other ideas, it is welcome on the 10tons official discord server's #suggestions channel.

    Thanks for all the mods.

If you take requests, I want a x10 material drops multiplier. Thanks in advance.

I've been trying to make my own mod but the mods I make don't load and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Your mods load just fine.

      Hey, glad you liked it.

About requests: i get my mod ideas from the official 10tons discord server's #suggestions channel. Lots of people wrote/write in that channel, and they can comment on each other's ideas, and other mod creators can take those ideas too, so it is better to use that, than to message me.

About 10x drop: I had that mod to myself on my first playthrough and decided not to publish it, because it makes you want to play the game less. Why would you smack objects or explore when you already have 2 million materials? Also, making that is too easy, i bet there are multiple mods on nexus doing it - even it those are outdated, and needs manual fixing.

About making mods: 10tons discord has a channel #modding, where people can help you, see you there!

I figured out what's wrong with the mods I make.

So, I took one of your mods to test, cuz all your mods load fine. I unpaked it with the modding kit pak tool, then I paked it back. It doesn't load anymore. The modding kit pak tool I got from the link in the wiki doesn't work properly with the latest game version.

      Anyways, thanks for the mods.

It does work, i use that too. First, you do not need to repack/pack your mods, if you do not want to publish them, just want to test out yourself. They work out of a directory too, that's how they are while you develop them. Second, how did you run the packer? Using a GUI or a CLI? Windows can not handle it by using mouse and drag and drop, you have to use a command line interface. Come to the discord.

I was doing drag and drop, like the wiki instructions.

I'll try CLI, see what gives. Thanks.
