:: Prologue Update 1.3 ::
A minor update. This should add all weather types to the prologue. Due to the time essentially being "frozen" - the picked weather type will remain the same once it picks it. The prologue only has "Clear / Cloudy" weather types and nothing else.

:: Realistic Weather 1.2 ::
The variance update! The game will pick between one of these two default weather values (the 50% is used as an example to show how variance works):

Clear - 50%
Cloudy - 50%

If it picks clear weather.. Then the game can pick from this:

Clear - Standard - 50%
Clear - Variant - 50%

So, as you can see - the lighting profile is different, while the weather category/type remains the same. The prologue has its own set of weather types, so I added all of those to be included with the normal weathers, as variances. In total, 21 variants of clear and cloudy weather have been added, at least 1 variant for each time of day, per clear/cloudy weather category.

If you see anything that looks funky (because it would take forever to test all of these) take a screenshot of the game with your clock on, so I can see when it is occurring. I still plan on adding more variants!

:: Realistic Weather 1.0 ::
No longer will you see the same weather, over.. and over.. and over... You get the point. I'll give you a simple rundown of how the weather in dying light 2 works and what I did to change it:

Essentially, every time a new time of day starts, dawn start, dawn end, before noon, noon, afternoon, etc.. It picks weather for that specific time period. The issue is that the weather it picks is just.. The same.

Here's some numbers for the start of dawn - my tweaked numbers are on the right.

Clear: 46 / 30
Cloudy: 46 / 15
Foggy: 0 / 35
Overcast: 0 / 5
Rainy: 3 / 10
Stormy: 3 / 5

Here's some more numbers for afternoon:

Clear: 46 / 15
Cloudy: 46 / 20
Foggy: 0 / 5
Overcast: 0 / 15
Rainy: 3 / 30
Stormy: 3 / 15

As you can see - the vanilla numbers tend to follow the same trend. There are some instances, like the end of dawn, where it will have a 20% chance to be foggy in vanilla, and that's it. I actually did (small) research of what types of weather you're more likely to see during specific times of day. That's where my numbers come from. This isn't data verified by NASA. This is just more accurate data on what you SHOULD be seeing.

So with this, don't expect to see the same weather throughout the day. Weather types with my tweaks, are more accurate and vary depending on the time of day.. For the most part. For example, you realistically would not see fog at all in the afternoon, yet I added a 5% chance - because sometimes, it snows in July, doesn't it? No weather is set to 0% with this.

:: REQUIREMENTS ::
• Dying Light 2

:: FEATURES ::
• Changes boring, vanilla weather
• Does not modify time or any lighting

:: INSTALLATION ::
Copy data2 into Dying Light2/ph/source/ - if you do not have any modded files, you should see data0 and data1.
If you have modded Dying Light 2, make sure it is is not overwriting anything called data2. Otherwise, rename it to something like data4.
If you have another weather mod, it will probably overwrite this.
Rename the number at the end of data to overwrite the other mods settings.
