this mod is outdated as is many of the other required mods, i no longer play Dying light 2 so i suggest to just use a newer version of reshade with my preset; alternatively you could also download this mod instead is much better than reshade and more accurate to the E3 atmosphere i've tried achieving with this preset.

This is definitely a must-have, I hadn't played the game before, but I deactivate from time to time to see the difference, and I think I would have never been able to play with that bright yellow/green tint they put in it.
I deactivated some shaders though, the vignette is too strong, we can see the layer when it's dark. The tone map makes everything too dark too. And lastly, I forgot the name of the third, but it makes elements of the environment in the shadow look bland, and every detail disapear.
check the pictures i provided, this mod does not remove shadows, also reshade just got an update so i recommend go to https://reshade.me and get the new version. I'm currently using this myself and there's nothing wrong with shadows
can I not install this with mod manager download? The only mods I ever installed were in cyberpunk and i did it the same way. Don't know why it wouldn't work here as well.
it's not obligatory, what it does it's increase the LOD and view distance and other minor enhaces to the lighting sadly the author seems to have taken down the link for the time being just keep an eye on the steam post and see if he updates the link. But it's okay if you don't use it, just make sure to use No Post Processing Effects Like Flare ETC otherwise adaptive fog on my reshade preset won't work and give graphical glitches.
