About this mod

One may have their own reasons to abhor the spitting mechanic that the Volatiles adopt. This mod simply doesn't allow them to spit anymore.

Permissions and credits
This mod removes the Spitting mechanic of the Volatiles. Now you can safely climb on that building while you are chased, without dying 4 seconds after.

As a "secondary effect", if you just hold on a ledge on the side of a building, the Volatiles will either stay below you screaming or climb to the top of the building you are climbing and then fall (trying to reach you).

I've made this mod just to improve the chases. Personally, I consider that using Grappling Hook is kind of a cheat but dying because of their strong Spit is ridiculous.

This also affects Alpha Volatiles!

--- INSTALLATION ---
STEP 1
- Download the mod
STEP 2.A - If you DON'T HAVE any other mods: Replace the Data3.pak archive found inside Dying Light (installation directory) > DW folder with the Data3.pak archive found inside the Download.
STEP 2.B - If you HAVE any other mods: Open the Data3.pak archive found inside the Dying Light (installation directory) > DW folder with an archive app (like 7z or WinRar, the same app you open the downloaded archive with). You should see a folder named data. Now, open the archive you have downloaded and drag the data folder from this archive to the Data3.pak archive found inside the DW folder.

--- GAME VERSIONS ---
This mod works with Game Version 1.16.0. I am not aware of previous versions, but it should work fine if you have the Enhanced Version.

--- CONFLICTS ---
This mod conflicts with any other mod that changes the infected_knowledge_base_volatile.scr file inside Data3.pak > data > ai > infected

--- WORK IN PROGRESS ---
I really intend to make a version where the Alpha Volatiles will not have the ability to detect you through camouflage.

If you encounter something weird regarding what my mod changes, mention it in the comments.
