THE LAST KIND WORDS
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm retiring from the modding scene. At least for now. I've recently moved
to a new country, and I have to focus on my career. I made this last update
as a final gesture to this mod, and all the people who have supported it.

Thank you all for checking out my mod.

JCMLSN LEGEND SKILL TREE MOD 1.6
------------------------------------------------------------------------
 THIS MODIFICATION REQUIRES DYING LIGHT: THE FOLLOWING ENHANCED EDITION

Detailed rundown of changes in latest MAJOR version:

- MAJOR: Thanks to the help of user StinVec, the mod is now only 1 file,
instead of 2. This could potentially resolve some issues people have
been having as well.

- MAJOR: The mod is now split into four different editions --
100%, 120%, 140% and 160% jump height.

- MINOR: Small bug fixes.

Hey, thanks for checking out my mod.

So, Techland in their infinite wisdom blessed us with a new skill tree.
Eager to set my teeth in it, when I finally unlocked it, I was a bit
disappointed.

Anyway, I decided right off the bat to modify the Legend skill tree to
better live up to its name.

FEATURES:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Every 25th Legend level will now increase your inventory slots, to
a total of 40 by the max level -- assuming you have the prior maxed
out value of 14. The steps are:
* 25: Increase to 15. (+1 increase)
* 50: Increase to 16. (+1 increase)
* 75: Increase to 18. (+2 increase)
* 100: Increase to 20. (+2 increase)
* 125: Increase to 22. (+2 increase)
* 150: Increase to 25. (+3 increase)
* 175: Increase to 28. (+3 increase)
* 200: Increase to 32. (+4 increase)
* 225: Increase to 36. (+4 increase)
* 250: Increase to 40. (+4 increase)
The chance of finding platinum weapons also ramp up in a similar way.

- "ONE-HANDED WEAPONS" and "TWO-HANDED WEAPONS" have been merged into
"MELEE WEAPONS" -- And in place of the obsolete "ONE-HANDED WEAPONS"
slot is now "DURABILITY", which makes your weapons tougher and
tougher to break. At max level, melee weapons are unbreakable.

- "THROWING" is now called "THROWN", because the grappling hook is now
considered a thrown object, rather than a thrown weapon. This will reflect
that the "THROWN" skill is to affect everything throwable, including
weapons.

- "STAMINA", "HEALTH", "HEALTH REGENERATION", and "HEALING EFFICIENCY"
have all been merged into one single skill simply named "FITNESS". Also,
stamina regeneration rate is increased, and you'll end up with 500 HP and
200% stamina at the max level, rather than the vanilla 275 HP and 175%
stamina. I just like round numbers, lol.

- The now obsolete "HEALTH" is replaced with "LUCK", which is quite
a mouthful -- you'll increase the chance to break someone's bones, find
more loot, haggle, make your flashlight last longer, score more XP, stun
your enemies, repair stuff without losing any parts -- for both the buggy
and melee weapons -- and reduce the risk of getting poisoned by poisoned
zombies. So, by the max level:
* You have a one-in-five chance of breaking bones.
* You have a one-in-five chance of stunning enemies.
* You'll always find extra loot when looting.
* You'll buy for 50% less.
* You'll sell for 50% more.
* You'll never get poisoned by poisoned zombies.
* You'll never lose repair parts when repairing.
* You'll score quadruple Agility XP points during the night instead of double.
* You'll score quadruple Driver XP points during the night instead of double.
* You'll score quadruple Power XP points during the night instead of double.
* Your flashlight will never run out.

- The now obsolete "HEALTH REGENERATION" is replaced by "JUMPING HEIGHT",
which increases how high you can jump -- to a max of 100%, 120%, 140% or
160% higher.

- The now obsolete "HEALING EFFICIENCY" is replaced with "MOVEMENT SPEED",
which increases how fast you can move. By the max level you'll run
20% faster.

INSTALLATION:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Extract the files (can be done with 7-Zip or similar software) and then
just copy and replace the "Data3.pak" file in your "Dying Light\DW" folder.
Remember to make backups in case you want to go back. It's just a good idea,
really.

I'm also including a "single_mod_files_1_6_###.zip" for those who want to take
a stab at implementing the mod using only the affected files, such as
in your documents folder -- or if you just want to copy over the mod files
into the "Data3.pak" yourself.

AUTHOR NOTES:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tools used to create this mod, for anyone interested:
- A text editor -- Notepad++
- A hex editor -- HxD

Both of these tools are free and I'm sure you could use others which
perform the same tasks. But it is possible to create something like
this just using those 2.

You may use and further edit my mods if you wish, just give me original
credit. You don't have to ask me.

Happy gaming!
