Dryad hairs are bugged for me. Certain parts of it appear as planes (like sheets of paper) instead of just the leaves etc. that are normally part of the different hair styles. Otherwise, their models are normal. They also appear like normal when not using your mod. (Using the GoG version with Legendary + Hotfix mod but without Broken World.)

I didn't notice that while testing, I think that's caused by the upscaling, some Dryad textures have invisible bits around the hair that the upscaling fills because they were so tiny and this can happen. If you think it is too noticeable i can fix it.

      let me know plz :)

Well, it's noticeable during character creation and whenever you zoom in. If a fix is something you can do without much effort, I'd appreciate it. But no need if it would require more work. Don't want to stress you.

No problem, I'm not paying you after all.

Now I get an error message when unzipping "Dungeon Siege 2 HD Objects-51-1-4-1673997268.zip". All three Windows Zip, WinRAR, and PeaZip complain about an unexpected archive ending or needing a password.

I just installed all of the HD mods except for the pet one and I immediately noticed an elf i created had the hair issue.  I removed the BObjects.ds2.res file (keeping the AObjects.ds2.res) and the hair was fixed.

I removed the AObjects.ds2.res file and readded the BObjects.ds2.res and the hair was messed up again and the gear was completely messed up, so I think it has to do with the BObjects.ds2.res file.

I will play the game with just the AObjects.ds2.res file and see how it looks until there is a potential update to the mod.

Regarding the hair issue.  I poked in the files \Dungeon Siege 2 BW HD Objects\art\bitmaps\characters\good_a_heroes\
For most of the files here it seems they have not been changed or upscaled, so that's why most heroes have no issue.  Some files in \elf_female and \dryad however have been changed.  For elf notice b_c_gah_ef_skin_03_11.dds (and 03_12, 03_13) is still at size 65 kb while the others are at 1366 kb.  The hair has also been upscaled.  This seems to explain why the hair texture for elf_female is missing in the third face (03) for each skin tone (11,12,13) and that alpha on the upscaled hair is messed up a bit.  The dryad folder has all been upscaled and there are no missing textures.  Alpha on dryad textures is still messed up some though.
Curiously enough, while using BW_More_Hair_PlusV4 (my own version where I fixed hair.gas, hairtoheads.gas) the problem reverses on elf_female.  The vanilla hair textures (in HD mod) appear the same (not on 03 skins) but the added hair textures ONLY appear on the 03 skins.  So maybe a more accurate conclusion is that HD hair shows on HD skin textures, but HD hair do not show on nonscaled skin, and nonscaled hair does not show on HD skins.
I tried making a custom fix by deleting the race folders inside \good_a_heroes\ but then all heroes had a missing armor suit texture (even in create screen).  So no luck there.

Hello there! thanks for looking into this! This has been the worst part of upscaling the textures, Most of them work just fine, but then there's some that mess up everything, some with invisible bits that the upscaler can't figure out, and it messes up the whole thing! Problem is that looking at the original files it's hard to see which ones have invisible parts and which ones don't!

I have updated the mod, please do let me know if it fixes the issue for you! :) The game should use the original textures now.

Wait, does the game work without the mods? You don't have to move any old files out, you just need to extract the zips into the Resources folder to install the mods. If you move the old files out, there will be tons of files missing and that's why the game won't run.

et me know if you still can't get it to work, and sorry for the late reply!

Okay i am trying to fix this issue, i'll let you know once it's done.

      EDIT:
I figured it out, the Broken World expansion adds a bunch of armor /items that use the same name as the original and that's creating a conflict. However by combining both files into 1, it fixed the problem. I installed Broken World and had the same issues as you said, but now it's all fine :) i will upload the upscaled file again but will need a day to upscale the Broken World Items!

Thanks a lot for bringing this to my attention :) The game looks even better with the shiny textures that BW adds.

      Hey Joshco!

I just updated the mod, please let me know if this fixes the issues!

To install, delete the previous mod file, and extract the new one. For me it works and fixed the missing textures, i hope it does the same for you :)

Probably Broken World textures. I don't have BW so i guess some textures are missing. Working on a fix now :)

      edit:
Try installing the original Objects.ds2res file and downloading the mod again, i made a few changes.
This time don't create a backup of the original, just extract the mod into the folder and that's it. The game should load both files this way!
Hope this fixes it. Please let me know if it works :)
