    Hello. Thank you for making this mod. I was very excited to see it, because I was hoping to play the SP campaign, UP SP and LoA with one character, transferring between saves and using the Vet and Elite in SP mod to boost difficulty as I went. So, I started a new game in DSLOAMod, transferred the character, and saved. So far, all seemed fine. Then, when I tried to load the save, the process was interrupted and I got this:

    "A fatal error has occurred and the app must shut down. This game cannot be loaded due to a content/save game data mismatch (1 game objects failed to persist), and the system is now unstable. Sorry but there is no choice but to fatal..."

    What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, because I feel like I'm about to fail to persist myself! ; ) Thanks in advance.

      Sorry for late reply. Not playing or modding DS1 currently.
      Did you have "Vet and Elite in SP" mod loaded in DSLOAMOD when transferring the characters to your new game? My first guess is that you managed to copy it successfully for a normal version of the map and then you started the game client with that mod. The standard version of the map and the modded had differences and that lead to the error message. The singleplayer save file contains a lot of data that probably didn't match.
      A few things that you could try if you haven't already and its still an issue

      • Try transferring the character with only this mod and nothing else. Just to see if it works by itself for you first.
      • Have "Vet and Elite in SP" mod installed when you go into DSLOAMOD (and have it in normal game client as well).

    How do you even load a save correctly in DSMod? Apparently you can't load modded saves. I just get exceptions like mad. So apparently this enables importing characters into your single player save IIIIF you haven't modded tha crap out ur game? But wait, can't u like make the game search for resource files elsewhere when u start it up? Can I run the dev version of the game thru Siegelets??? There's gotta be something I'm missing, and it should probably be in the description when we figure it out.

    Did you upload the incorrect version of this? I was curious to see what you did to allow DSMod saves to work in Release, but upon inspecting your dsres all I see are several empty test.gas files. This doesn't appear to be changing anything with the game.

      No its correct. It's meant to overwrite the original files in the game that add dev paths while saving in DSLOAMOD that the normal client can't load.
      Look in "World.dsmap", "MpWorld.dsmap" & "Expansion.dsmap" to see the original test.gas files.

      Ah, right. I forgot that those were in test.gas files, makes sense.
